[Bug 208595] Re: nautilus fails on sftp (and other remote access protocols)

2008-04-30 Thread flocki
I have the same problems (cannot connect to some ssh-servers). The
connections are either aborted with a time-out or a gvfs-mount complains
with an unexpected close of the SSH-Program error ("Error mounting

As far as i have figured out Connecting to protocol version 2 servers is
working while for version 1 servers mounting is not working.

I am reopening this bug, since I still have problems accessing some sftp
(Version 1.x) servers.

To reproduce this bug:
#install openssh-server
sudo apt-get install openssh-server
#generate an rsa-1 host key:
sudo ssh-keygen -t rsa1 -f /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa1_key"
* edit /etc/ssh/sshd_config: change "Protocol 2" to "Protocol 1", and add the
line "HostKey /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa1_key"
sudo gedit /etc/ssh/sshd_config
#restart sshd
sudo /etc/init.d/ssh restart
#add the host key to known_hosts (not sure if this is necessary)
ssh localhost
#try mounting
gvfs-mount ssh://localhost
gvfs-mount sftp://localhost

This still fails with "Error mounting location: Das SSH-Programm wurde

I have the same problems (cannot connect to some ssh-servers). The
connections are either aborted with a time-out or a gvfs-mount complains
with an unexpected close of the SSH-Program error ("Error mounting

Version)

As far as i have figured out Connecting to protocol version 2 servers is
working while for version 1 servers mounting is not working.

[Bug 208595] Re: nautilus fails on sftp (and other remote access protocols)

2008-04-30 Thread flocki
I have the same problems (cannot connect to some ssh-servers). The
connections are either aborted with a time-out or a gvfs-mount complains
with an unexpected close of the SSH-Program error ("Error mounting
location: Das SSH-Programm wurde unerwartet beendet" in the German
Version)

As far as i have figured out Connecting to protocol version 2 servers is
working while for version 1 servers mounting is not working.

[Bug 208595] Re: nautilus fails on sftp (and other remote access protocols)

2008-05-13 Thread flocki
I am reopening this bug, since I still have problems accessing some sftp
(Version 1.x) servers.

To reproduce this bug:
#install openssh-server
sudo apt-get install openssh-server
#generate an rsa-1 host key:
sudo ssh-keygen -t rsa1 -f /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa1_key"
* edit /etc/ssh/sshd_config: change "Protocol 2" to "Protocol 1", and add the
line "HostKey /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa1_key"
sudo gedit /etc/ssh/sshd_config
#restart sshd
sudo /etc/init.d/ssh restart
#add the host key to known_hosts (not sure if this is necessary)
ssh localhost
#try mounting
gvfs-mount ssh://localhost
gvfs-mount sftp://localhost

This still fails with "Error mounting location: Das SSH-Programm wurde
unerwartet beendet" ("The SSH-Program was unexpectedly closed")

I can confirm this bug, and there is a bug in the gnome- subtitles bugtracker
(http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=503049 ) stating that the issue was
fixed with gnome-subtitles 0.7.1.
However official Ubuntu package for gutsy package available on getdeb

resolved.
