[Bug 1574358] [NEW] empty row in location permissions after uninstalling app

2016-04-24 Thread futwick
Public bug reported:

On my Aquaris M10 tablet I installed an app and while using it I granted
it permission to access my location. Shortly afterwards I uninstalled
the app. Now in my location settings, under the heading "Let apps access
this location" there is a toggle row without an app name or icon.

Re-installing the app brings back its name and icon in the settings
panel. Uninstalling once more removes the icon and name but the toggle
remains.

Ubuntu 15.04 (OTA-10.1)

[Bug 1263786] Re: Nonsense behavior of scrollwheel over Launcher

2014-03-13 Thread futwick
I much preferred the old 'scroll to focus' behaviour. Sounds trivial but
I found it more convenient than clicking. A quick nudge of the
scrollwheel always showed me the most recently used window of any app
(whether multiple windows were open or not).

The new behaviour breaks my workflow.

[Bug 1232454] Re: Computer will suspend very soon because of inactivity. dialog when resuming from suspend

2014-03-04 Thread futwick
Does anyone know if this bug remains in 14.04? If so I suggest it adding
it to the One Hundred Papercuts project.

https://launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts
Papercuts are easily fixable but very annoying bugs.

[Bug 922979] Re: Keyboard Shortcuts overview isn't displayed on 1024x600 resolution or lower

2012-05-06 Thread futwick
I run Ubuntu 12.04 on an HTPC with a 720p TV screen. Again no Unity
hint overlay when I hold the Super key.

As seeing the overlay is the expected behaviour, I'd say its absence
without explanation (even if by design) is a bug.

[Bug 289868] [NEW] Login screen clock has AM/PM suffix despite 24-hour format

2008-10-27 Thread futwick
Public bug reported:

The clock on the login screen displays in 24-hour format but also has
the am/pm suffix of a 12-hour clock.

A 24-hour clock should not have these suffixes.

[Bug 126009] Re: Error: uncaught exception: Permission denied to call method Location.toString

2007-07-28 Thread futwick
This error is reported in the Firefox JavaScript console - I think when
cross-site scripting is attempted (and blocked). From experience I'd
say adverts on the page are the most likely cause.

NB it might well be the Flash plug-in that triggers the error I'm seeing
it from Flash banner adverts.
