[Bug 156071] Gutsy has no apparmor module source

2007-10-22 Thread g2g591
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: apparmor

Gutsy has no package containing the source for the apparmor module/s, so
those of us who like to compile and use the latest kernel (no offense to
the kernel devs who took all that time customizing it) can't use
apparmor.

** Affects: apparmor (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 149426] Re: duplicate entry for a package during update -adept manager

2007-10-15 Thread g2g591
I only noticed it that once, but I havn't been trying it very much as I
have been checking out Opensuse 10.3 (still not quite as good as Ubuntu,
horrible package manager behavior). Quite a strange and unnoticeable
glitch.

[Bug 139827] Re: package apparmor-utils 2.1+961-0ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

2007-09-15 Thread g2g591
I was using the us mirrors, but after updating the sources then I was
successfully able to upgrade to the latest (2.1+961-0ubuntu5), changing
to closed (sorry, should have tried this earlier (assumed sources
updated after a reboot)

ok, .9.7 just appeared in the repos, but a new and related bug- the
vmware kernal modules package depends on the outdated (unavailable)
older kernal modules (depends on 2.6.20-15 while only the new 2.6.20-23
package is available)
