[Bug 947920] Re: pidgin-sipe: 'Read error' and cannot login with new libnss3-1d 3.13.1

So as mentioned in the other bug report, setting NSS_SSL_CBC_RANDOM_IV=0
solves the problem. Hope the pidgin-sipe team fixes this and includes it
in a later release.

This message in the bug report explains why this happens

[Bug 888185] Re: coolkey 1.1.0-8 does not request for PIN

2011-11-23 Thread gabr10
Actually you are probably right, on the other bug (#786682 ) you mention the
following:
Issue is appeared when CAC was implemented (coolkey-cac.patch). Some of key
(include ActiveKey) can include empty certificate In this case we don't need to
throw exception if this is not slot 0.

So I went and removed the CAC patches (and a pcsc-lite-fix patch) from the
build process outlined here:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/co/coolkey/PKGBUILD
Plus added another patch that I found over here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=626029

Builds up OK and requests for PIN as expected.

[Bug 888185] [NEW] coolkey 1.1.0-8 does not request for PIN

2011-11-09 Thread gabr10
Public bug reported:

When testing an Activkey SIM with the coolkey module version 1.1.0-8,
the Activkey PIN is never requested when running tools such as
pcsc_listcerts, or when an actual pptp connection is attempted with all
the settings already in place, whereas 1.1.0-6 works flawlessly. In
order for this to work, I downgraded to 1.1.0-6 on Ubuntu 11.04 and
11.10 and it works without a problem.

[Bug 282800] Re: Application crashes when pushing buttons

2008-10-23 Thread gabr10
I wanted to note that the vmware virtual machine that I'm using is running on
an ntfs partition, vmware is running with root privileges and the vmx file has
a line added that says:
"mainMem.useNamedFile=FALSE"

This so that it doesn't give me any issues when running in the ntfs
partition.

I'm currently testing the same virtual machine on the same ubuntu
partition without that line and without sudo permissions to vmware.

I will post again as soon as I get an update.

[Bug 282800] [NEW] Application crashes when pushing buttons

2008-10-13 Thread gabr10
Public bug reported:

I'm running Ubuntu 8.04

I have an old bug that I expected to be fixed with updates but it hasn't
so far. Anyway, for the crashes to happen, these programs have to be
running:

-vmware server 1.0.5 build-80187 with 1 running virtual machine on windows xp
-citrix metaframe client

I'm not 100% sure as to when exactly it starts to happen, but I'm preety
sure its related to pressing several keys at the same time, for example
control + c, or control + v. When this bug starts happening, any, and I
mean ANY application I'm running on ubuntu itself crashes with a
keypress, whatever key, it doesn't matter. When it happens, I check the
syslog and there is an error such as this, for whatever application I
was using that crashes (for the record, the virtual machine never gets
the same problem and vmware never crashes):

Oct 13 11:24:47 barbierg02 kernel: [15364.17] gedit[19060]: segfault
at 0025 eip b782e275 esp bfbcd9e0 error 4

This is an amazingly annoying bug that is resolved by restarting X. But
in a short period of time it happens again when I start running vmware
and the citrix client application, I do a lot of copy/paste between the
virtual machine, the citrix client and also gedit or thunderbird.

Let me know which logs are required.(latest syslog has been attached)

Thanks.

[Bug 263184] Re: wl driver doesnt work with kernel .27-2 and broadcom chipset

2008-10-05 Thread gabr10
I can confirm this but on 8.10 beta on an HP Pavilion DV6870us with a
broadcom wireless card. WIll try Updating initramfs after blacklisting
ssb to see if it makes a difference.

[Bug 124406] Re: Keyboard keys get stuck and repeat (Feisty, Gutsy)

2008-05-05 Thread gabr10
Same problem here, but when I type the setxkbmap it gives me an error: 'Error
loading new keyboard description'
I'm not sure if it does work though, but vmware IS giving me that problem and
on a very nasty way

[Bug 218145] [NEW] When typing password to grant access to keyring it never accepts it, forced to press deny

2008-04-16 Thread gabr10
Public bug reported:

Every time I use vinagre and it tries to load a password for a
bookmarked computer, it prompts for the administrative password, I input
the password but it doesn't take it, nor gives an error.. The prompt
keeps coming up and I keep trying and verifying that the password is
correct, which it is.. and in the end I am forced to push the deny
button to not grant access to the keyring to load the password. Same
thing when I hit remember password when logging in to a computer...

Any reason why this could be happening?

I am using the latest hardy beta, everything up to date

[Bug 206346] Re: evolution will not connect to exchange 2007 server

2008-04-15 Thread gabr10
I have the same problem. Evolution cannot connect to exchange 2007, it
comes up with an error when authenticating

The Exchange server is not compatible with Exchange Connector.

The server is running Exchange 5.5. Exchange Connector
supports Microsoft Exchange 2000 and 2003 only.

Any fix known for this?

Re: [Bug 67674] Re: edgy startup slow and blackscreen on boot

2007-06-10 Thread gabr10
well, never actually found a way on how to fix it, but I installed a
different video card on my PC and configured it through nano on the command
prompt, so when I actually got video on the new device, all of the sudden I
was able to see the loading splash screen.

The problem was under ubuntu edgy and video device intel 82845GV video card
(integrated).
Thanks for the follow up, but yeah, it has been a long time since I heard
from you
