[Bug 1788679] [NEW] Features request

2018-08-23 Thread gabry78
Public bug reported:

I use shotwell for a long time. I'm actually using version 0.28.3 –
"Braunschweig" on ubuntu 18.04.5
I think it is one of the best program for photos

In my opinion there are some fearures that should be added:
- auto-internal backup: to backup photos in shotwell we must to backup /images,
/shtotwell thumbnails, cache, etcc. Very annoying.
Could create an automatic procedure menu accessible that creates unique file,
for example .tar.gz ?
it shuold be an option to select which photos to backup. Very important the
possibility also to choice the period (from a date to another) for the backup
giving the possibility to free hdd space.

- Jpg-raw images: a function that is able to erase RAW file from a RAW-
JPG picture. Indeed when we import photos from digital camera (both RAW
and JPG format), we can decide to remove the raw format from some of
these becouse the is already used or not necessary for some photos,
obviously leaving jpg

thank you

[Bug 460072] Re: Ubuntu One does not synchronize

2011-08-29 Thread gabry78
I've got the same problem but only by 6 months, before that ubuntuone
synced perfectly.

My system: Ubuntu 10.04; kernel 2.6.32-33-generic #72; gnome 2.30.2
Computer now working in: Pentium M 1,73 Ghz; RAM 1gb

In two computers I've installed COUNCH-DB for sync bookmarks etc (then I've
uninstalled it).. in the last one I've done only the normal upgrades. Today all
computers can't connect and sync with ubuntuone.
I've executed these classic commands avaliable in a lot of forums:
1. Quit the Ubuntu One client
2. Open Applications-Accessories-Passwords and Encryption Keys
3. Click on the arrow next to Passwords
4. Right-click on the Ubuntu One token and select Delete
5. Go to https://one.ubuntu.com/account/machines/
6. Click on the checkbox next to your computer
7. Click the Remove selected computers button
8. killall ubuntu-sso-login; u1sdtool -q; u1sdtool -c
NOTE: (For Lucid): u1sdtool -q; killall ubuntuone-login; u1sdtool -c
9. a web page should open, prompting you to add your computer to
your Ubuntu One account
10. Add your computer

... but nothing. None web page opened and none window ask me to add my
computer. I attach my syncdaemon.log.
Finaly: ubuntuone files status seems to be ok (site:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuOne/Status)

What happened?

Thanks

2010-12-27 Thread gabry78
I've Ubuntu 10.04 64bit installed on AMD Athlon X2 5000. 3 Gb RAM.

[Bug 694696] [NEW] AMD cpu Cool 'n Quiet enabled problem. Perhaps a BIOS-Hardware problem..

2010-12-27 Thread gabry78
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compizconfig-settings-manager

OS:
Ubuntu 10.04.1 64 bit

HARDWARE:
AMD Athlon X2 5000
3 Gb RAM
NVIDIA 8600GT propretary drivers enabled and full functionally
Motherboard: M2N-E

NOTES BIOS:
Cool 'N Quiet function enabled
Last firmware updated to Deceber 2010

PROBLEM
Sometimes, when Ubuntu is stressed by heavy load, it crashes (freeze). No text
console or GDM restart could be executed..only Hardreset...
I've noted that this bug affects ubuntu only when Cool 'N Quiet function BIOS
was enabled (CPU frequency modulation). In last line of Kernel log was present:

kernel: [ 113.500027] Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = -69064579 ns)

I've noted that this problem perhaps affects even Microsoft Windows when
Cool 'N Quiet was installed because also in that case a strange blue
death screen appears in similar conditions.

I believe this is a BIOS or Hardware problem. Any ideas about it?

Most probably it's an external OS bug, but I would to report this
bug to contribute Ubuntu community.
