[Bug 440618] [NEW] Ubuntu community themes (Dust, Dust Sand, New Wave) uses Human icon theme instead of Humanity

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-themes-ubuntu

In Ubuntu Karmic Beta the Ubuntu community themes (Dust, Dust Sand, New Wave)

[Bug 282906] Re: intrepid: gnome-sound-properties no longer allows enabling/disabling of system beep

2008-11-06 Thread garferi
Why have the Gnome developers modify everything in Gnome what worked perfectly
till now???
Gnome very very going to be suck!!! WAKE UP!!!
The previous method was better and worked like a charm, but this is
together with the new "Volume control slider does not disappear after it has
lost focus" "FEATURE"...

[Bug 272971] Re: Dock windows dangle when the panel autohides

2008-11-04 Thread garferi
If this is an upstream choice, it's a very very BAD choice! This worked very
well in Ubuntu 8.04.1, and now in Ibex it isn't comfortable to use. If
developers wouldn't like to fix this, give a workaround or an option to restore
the old functionality.
If developers change everything familiar function what the users using
everyday, the things are going the wrong way with gnome...
Thanks!

[Bug 194963] Re: fglrx needs to use 24bit mode, and supports composite now

2008-04-20 Thread garferi
I installed the latest Hardy Heron, downloaded from "Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (Hardy
Heron) Daily Build" webpage and after I installed the "xorg-driver-fglrx"
driver for my ATi X1950 PRO 8x AGP card with the drivers manager, after reboot
I got black screen.
In recovery mode I removed the package and reconfigured the xorg.conf with
"dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg" command. After this the X started well.
I attach the fglrx xorg.conf
Please help! Thx

Today I tried it again. New installation with the latest .ISO from
Ubuntu Hardy Daily Build webpage, I just installed the driver with
restricted modules manager and again was black screen after reboot. It
seems the fglrx driver is bad. I will attach the required files, just
please write down where are these files. Thanks!

I can confirm this problem, but I hve ATi X1950 PRO. I installed the
xorg-driver-fglrx with restricted drivers manager and after the reboot I get
black screen, total freeze.
After I removed the package in recovery mode, it worked again.
