[Bug 1773449] Re: VMs do not survive host reboot
I think the problem is on ceph. Seeing Ceph documentation i see this advice -Important The raw data format is really the only sensible format option to use with RBD. Technically, you could use other QEMU-supported formats (such as qcow2 or vmdk), but doing so would add additional overhead, and would also render the volume unsafe for virtual machine live migration when caching (see below) is enabled. http://docs.ceph.com/docs/master/rbd/qemu-rbd/ So maybe the problem it's using qcow2, in my case i was using it, i would try to probe with RAW Anybody try with RAW images? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1773449 Title: VMs do not survive host reboot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cloud-archive/+bug/1773449/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 576601] Re: [MacBookPro 7, 1]mcp89 sata link reset fails, no disks detected
The current status is that: 1) There exists an experimental/development ISO that allows installation, albeit using the ata_generic driver. This means accessing disk without AHCI and without DMA. 2) There exist experimental/development kernel packages that are in -proposed (or so says an above comment) that enable DMA. I've been running all weekend with these packages with no issues. The applied patches are being merged upstream "soonish". 3) The AHCI driver is reported to work when using grub-efi, but then the nvidia driver breaks. In non-EFI mode, the nvidia driver works (but obviously AHCI does not work). 4) It's unknown if there will ever be AHCI support with non-EFI, or nvidia support in EFI, as it's not clear what makes these break yet. The work around is good enough for my own *personal* use for now (YMMV).
