[Bug 1447944] Re: Migration of custom configuration to my.cnf.migrated is not explicit enough
So I just had the terrible to idea to try and switch from mysql to mariadb (drop-in replacement, yeah sure...) and hit this bug. After a couple of hours trying different things, I went back to mysql 5.7 and used the solution in #29. I think we should stop calling mariadb a drop-in replacement, at least in the state its ubuntu's packaging is. Also during the upgrade process, the system told me existing databases could not be migrated and they were being copied somewhere else. Probably the worst user experience I've had with ubuntu in years. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1447944 Title: Migration of custom configuration to my.cnf.migrated is not explicit enough To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.6/+bug/1447944/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1548273] Re: Periodic crashes
I can't, because I'm not 100% sure. I don't write down the exact date everytime my system crashes. You can wait for the next crash if you want, but it hasn't happened for the last 3 work-days. [Bug 730264] Re: [LibreOffice] - Use of KIO SLAVES instead of CIFS to access remote files (located in the Network)
I'd like to extend this bug report with another related issue. I'm using KDE 4.6.5, Kubuntu 11.04. When I try to access a remote file from a protocol and server that requires authentication (i.e. FTP, sFTP...), a window pops up asking for username and password, but the username field is disabled and you can't modify it. It will let you modify the password field, but the username is disabled and it says anonymous. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/730264 Title: [LibreOffice] - Use of KIO SLAVES instead of CIFS to access remote files (located in the Network) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/730264/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

This just happened to me today after trying to update my system. Its system breaking and it leaves it unusable. [Bug 156287] Re: Kubuntu freezes when logging in with kio_slaves requiring authentication running
Update: It seems that's an issue with Kwallet. I just reinstalled a new Kubuntu (7.10) from scratch and it's happening again with Kopete. When Kopete loads, the Kwallet authorisation window never appears and Kopete never connects. I have to make it reconnect to get the authorisation window appear. Could it be related with the apps loading order? Kopete loads before Kwallet so it fails. -- Kubuntu freezes when logging in with kio_slaves requiring authentication running https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156287 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 156287] Kubuntu freezes when logging in with kio_slaves requiring authentication running
Public bug reported: I logged out with Konqueror, Quanta and Krita running, all of them using the ftp kio_slave and with remote files opened (Konqueror an HTML page, Quanta some CSS and HTML files and Krita some images). When I logged back in and those applications started, they all freezed and I could do nothing with them (I was able to do other things though, but their windows stayed freezed until I killed them). I think this is due to the applications asking for authentication to reach the ftp server and open the files, but the login/password window not appearing. It wasn't neither in the taskbar nor accessible through the ALT+TAB loop. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Kubuntu freezes when logging in with kio_slaves requiring authentication running https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156287 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
