[Bug 1861063] Re: Dualshock4 controller doesn't stay connected
@Bastian: I have gotten mine on Amazon. It never worked on my Ubuntu machine and it does not pair with my sony smartphone. It pairs with my wife's thinkpad running windows 10 and it pairs with my old samsung tablet. Since I had mixed results and since the weight does not correspond I am starting to think that this controller might not be a genuine one. I got it on January 17 and I think I will return it. Bastian, may I ask you to weight your controller? I suspect mine could be not a genuine one. I checked online and dualshock4 controllers weight around 220 grams. Mine weights 200 grams. [Bug 1861063] [NEW] Dualshock4 controller doesn't stay connected
Public bug reported: Pairing the Dualshock4 controller works somehow, after several attempts. I expected this to work out of the box but it does not work well at all. Once the pairing is completed, if I try to connect it it doesn't stay connected. I have checked the dmesg and apparently there is a buffer overflow somewhere. Comment to: Marco (marcoalexandrerico) wrote on 2016-09-02: Hi, i understand you setup with search domains and split/tunnel, and it works, but what if you are inside intranet and you go through proxy to establish vpn tunnel and go to internet through your router at home. the problem is that your internet DNS are used when you try to search intranet DOMAIN, but what about internet, which search domain would enter? To all, regarding vpn tunnel after upgrading to 16.10, yes it is even worse, the first VPN connection works as it should, but after disconnect/connect, DNS from VPN isn't propagated... And something odd about routing... after i create VPN connection i can do some host route, and it works on 16.10 and 16.04(the whole traffic is router through VPN but not host routes which i enter manualy) but if i try to add some network route on 16.10 the traffic then is not routed through VPN anymoreon 16.04 is fine... some thoughts? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120 Title: network manager openvpn dns push data not updating system DNS addresses To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/120/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Ondrej, what is reasoning behind mandatory space before priority??? [Bug 1428571] Re: Software Update - mysql-apt-config - can't continue
I've managed to resolve this issue by removing mysql-apt-config. I think the workaround can almost be confirmed, I no longer have issues described in this bug report. I have made a script (path-to-my-script) with contents: xinput disable 7 xinput disable 8 xinput disable 17 Then I did: chmod +x path-to-my-script And I have put this in my /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf: session-setup-script=path-to-my-script And now the workaround is automated and I don't have to wory about it anymore. Lee Willis, I was having the very same issue with fglrx - corrupted display, barely usabe, clicking didn't work, even after barely possible to target what you wanted to click, etc. However, I came to this fix that works - run Terminal with keyboard CTRL+ALT+T and do sudo su and then xrandr --output VGA1 --auto --right-of LVDS1 --output VGA1 --auto --scale 1.0001x1.0001 After that, everything becomes usable again. However, this does NOT fix the issue with random switching of resolutions/monitors/mirroring! That is still present. Now, I am testing with Ubuntu 14.04 for my bug report and will provide feedback when I have used it for long enough. Oh, Christopher M. Penalver, I have seen your info that this laptop had new BIOS released - the A12 and I flashed it today. I still had the exact same problem on Ubuntu 13.10 (saucy) and as I said, I will report (in my bug report) how version 14.04 goes... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/907381 Title: [Dell Vostro 3550] Display resolution keeps switching with external monitor connected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/907381/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1293425] Re: [Dell Vostro 3550] Display resolution keeps switching with external monitor connected
I am now using Ubuntu 14.04 from the link above. At the time of starting this bug report I was using 13.04 (raring) and then also 13.10 (saucy) but the problem was the same with both. Will see how will it be with 14.04. So far I have noticed one difference though! If I did cat /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch on 13.04 and 13.10 I got: 0:IGD:+:Pwr::00:02.0 1:DIS: :Off::01:00.0 With 14.04 I get somethin a bit different: 0:IGD:+:Pwr::00:02.0 1:DIS: :DynOff::01:00.0 Notice the Dyn in second line. This is ofcourse before installing AMD drivers. After I install those, vgaswitcheroo is no longer there. For now, I will not install AMD drivers on 14.04 to see if the problem will come up out-of-the-box. If I don't see any troubles for a whole week, I will install AMD drivers and provide feedback about both. If problems come up before, I will install AMD drivers right after. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1293425 Title: [Dell Vostro 3550] Display resolution keeps switching with external monitor connected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1293425/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1293425] [NEW] [Dell Vostro 3550] Display resolution keeps switching with external monitor connected
Public bug reported: My laptop is DELL Vostro 3550. BIOS A11. If I use external monitor and extend my desktop to both the built-in laptop display and the external LCD, the display settings are auto-changed by the system. This may include: - Resetting to mirrored displays at 1024x768 - Resetting to a single display on the laptop panel - Resetting to a single display on the external monitor I am finding though that the issue is worse by far if I use AMD GPU than if I use Intel GPU. I switch between them with AMD CCC, however the issue is present even if I never install AMD drivers and just use Intel GPU out-of-the-box. So, if I use AMD GPU my monitors keep switching between resolutions, mirroring switches on and off very frequently - like more times every minute. If I use Intel GPU I can go a day without spontaneous switching of resolutions and/or mirroring displays, sometimes it happens like 2 or 3 times per day.
