ok, but then then can add CONFIG_ATH_REG_DYNAMIC_USER_CERT_TESTING,
CONFIG_ATH_REG_DYNAMIC_USER_REG_HINTS and CONFIG_CFG80211_CERTIFICATION_ONUS

Please add: CONFIG_ATH_REG_DYNAMIC_USER_CERT_TESTING,
CONFIG_ATH_REG_DYNAMIC_USER_REG_HINTS and CONFIG_CFG80211_CERTIFICATION_ONUS
to .config to next build
"https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.10.1/;.
if i add those in my own build, it works, but will be glad if i do not need to
rebuild every kernel for my self!

This patch has been reverted.

[Bug 1861063] Re: Dualshock4 controller doesn't stay connected

2020-02-08 Thread Goran Josic
@Bastian: I have gotten mine on Amazon. It never worked on my Ubuntu
machine and it does not pair with my sony smartphone. It pairs with my
wife's thinkpad running windows 10 and it pairs with my old samsung
tablet. Since I had mixed results and since the weight does not
correspond I am starting to think that this controller might not be a
genuine one. I got it on January 17 and I think I will return it.

I have Intel Corporation Wireless 8260 (rev 3a) with latest updates.
fwupdmgr does not report any new update.

[Bug 1861063] Re: Dualshock4 controller doesn't stay connected

2020-02-07 Thread Goran Josic
Bastian, may I ask you to weight your controller? I suspect mine could
be not a genuine one. I checked online and dualshock4 controllers weight
around 220 grams. Mine weights 200 grams. The only way to understand if
it is really copy is to examine the inner parts but I cannot open it
because it would invalidate the warranty.

[Bug 1861063] Re: Dualshock4 controller doesn't stay connected

2020-02-07 Thread Goran Josic
I am waiting for the daily-iso to be downloaded but I suspect it will
not solve the issue because I have already tried with the current kernel
(5.5+) without success. Same issue. So unless this doesn't only involve
the kernel I don't think that the daily iso will make any difference.

Is there any way I can provide more info about this bug?

[Bug 1861063] [NEW] Dualshock4 controller doesn't stay connected

2020-01-27 Thread Goran Josic
Public bug reported:

Pairing the Dualshock4 controller works somehow, after several attempts.
I expected this to work out of the box but it does not work well at all.

Once the pairing is completed, if I try to connect it it doesn't stay
connected.

I have checked the dmesg and apparently there is a buffer overflow
somewhere.

I can pair a bluetooth headset to my laptop and the Dualshock4 pairs
with my samsung tablet without problems but when I try to pair the
dualshock4 to the laptop, running Ubuntu 19.10, it does not work.

Dmesg output:

2016-11-21 Thread goran
Folks i resolv my issue of splitting VPN and DNs leaking with hosts.conf
and parameters:

strict-order
server=/sub.dom/10.100.11.116
server=/dom/10.100.11.66
server=//10.100.22.11
server=/100.10.in-addr.arpa/ #

it seems that NM works quite fine;-)

[Bug 1211110] Re: network manager openvpn dns push data not updating system DNS addresses

2016-11-09 Thread goran
Comment to: Marco (marcoalexandrerico) wrote on 2016-09-02:

Hi, i understand you setup with search domains and split/tunnel, and it
works, but what if you are inside intranet and you go through proxy to
establish vpn tunnel and go to internet through your router at home. the
problem is that your internet DNS are used when you try to search
intranet DOMAIN, but what about internet, which search domain would
enter?

To all, regarding vpn tunnel after upgrading to 16.10, yes it is even worse,
the first VPN connection works as it should, but after disconnect/connect, DNS
from VPN isn't propagated...

And something odd about routing... after i create VPN connection i can do some
host route, and it works on 16.10 and 16.04(the whole traffic is router through
VPN but not host routes which i enter manualy) but if i try to add some network
route on 16.10 the traffic then is not routed through VPN anymoreon 16.04
is fine... some thoughts?

[Bug 1574332] [NEW] grub does not load RAID partitions

2016-04-24 Thread Goran Schultz
Public bug reported:

Have used an UBUNTU 12.04 installation on /dev/md0 (sda2, sdb2). Installed
16.04 on non-RAID sda4. Filesystem on /dev/md0 shows when booted into 16.04,
after clicking on it, without problems (/media/goran/0123something). All
attempts to get grub to accept a menuentry fails (file not found) because the
raid files don't show up after "set root=(hd0,2)"; manual attempt at booting:
grub> ls (hd0,2)
- gives the device information correctly
grub> ls (hd0,2)/
- file not found
- - likewise with (hd1,2)
I have Ubuntu 14.04 on sdb3 since two years back, when this problem did not
occur with grub. Installation of 16.04 is the first non-CD installation, done
with the following on the raided grub of 12.04, isofile on sdb3:
menuentry “Ubuntu_16.04_ISO” {
set root=(hd1,3)
set isofile="/home/goran/Downloads/xenial-desktop-i386.iso"
loopback loop $isofile
linux (loop)/casper/vmlinuz boot=casper iso-scan/filename=$isofile noprompt
noeject
initrd (loop)/casper/initrd.lz
}
Would still like to boot into 12.04 since that is where I have four years worth
of program installations.

[Bug 1273225] Re: php5enmod - priority is not set by argument

2015-04-24 Thread Goran Miskovic
Ondrej, what is reasoning behind mandatory space before priority???

Why it can't be:
;priority=30
but it has to be
; priority=30

A bit of flexibility would be appreciated. :)

Following regex will match both ;priority=30 and ; priority=30
priority=$(sed -ne s/^;[ ]\?priority=\([0-9]\+\)$/\\1/p $source_ini)

The problem I actually faced is that Augeas PHP lens does not allow
space(s) at the beginning of comments. In combination with mandatory
space after semicolon it makes use of automation tools such as Puppet
impossible.

** Patch added: Has regex that will match a signle space or no space between
semicolon and word priority in the second comment

2015-03-19 Thread goran jankovic
It is not supposed to reboot, you should do that manually.
Actually, you don't have to reboot, logoff/logon is enough.
If you would like to automate the process, refer to prime-indicator package.
Instalation guide can be found on the following link (valid on March 19, 2015):

[Bug 1428571] Re: Software Update - mysql-apt-config - can't continue

2015-03-18 Thread Goran Pedic
I'm stuck with this for some time now. I can't even remove mysql-server because
whenever I try to use apt I get:
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to
correct the problem.

because I have to kill the process to get rid of the configure screen.

Running 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' just get's me stuck at the same
selection screen in both the GUI and terminal.

I'm using Xubuntu 14.04. The fix in the thread suggested by Daniel
Felipe doesn't work for me.

[Bug 1428571] Re: Software Update - mysql-apt-config - can't continue

2015-03-18 Thread Goran Pedic
I've managed to resolve this issue by removing mysql-apt-config.

My /var/log/dpkg.log said:
2015-03-18 16:02:41 startup packages configure
2015-03-18 16:02:41 configure mysql-apt-config:all 0.3.3-1ubuntu14.04 none
2015-03-18 16:02:41 status half-configured mysql-apt-config:all
0.3.3-1ubuntu14.04

mysql-apt-config was half-configured (because I had to kill it) so I couldn't
use apt-get because it would just tell me to:
'sudo dpkg --configure -a' (which would not work)

I first tried to remove mysql-apt-config using (don't do this, a better
solution is offered in the linked thread bellow):
sudo dpkg --remove --force-remove-reinstreq mysql-apt-config

as I couldn't use apt-get or aptitude, but this just managed to bork up
my system somewhat as I couldn't properly update or re-install mysql,
but at least I was able to use apt-get/aptitude now.

On trying to reinstall mysql-server-5.6:
dpkg: error processing archive
/var/cache/apt/archives/mysql-client-5.6_5.6.19-0ubuntu0.14.04.1_amd64.deb
(--unpack):

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of mysql-server-5.6:

Errors were encountered while processing:
 mysql-server-5.6

THE SOLUTION:
Finally the accepted answer here helped me resolve the issue for good:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/27154067/could-not-select-ok-in-mysql-apt-config-ubuntu-14-04

If you need to reinstall mysql-server you may want to purge mysql-
common, it doesn't seem to get removed automatically along with mysql-
server/client, this was also giving me some issues.

I've removed mysql-apt-config from my system (it doesn't seem to be
really needed, and I hope this will help avoid a similar situation in
the future), reinstalled msyql-server-5.6 and everything is working fine
now, but I don't really get the point of all this, why would I ever want
to choose between mysql 5.6 and 5.7-dmr if I explicitly installed 5.6.
There should be a separate package for 5.7 for imho.

And since this is making the system slow, it also 'eats' letters, while
typing it often switches letters that I didn't type, and it likes to add
letter 'd' a lot where I didn't put it. This only happens inside
firefox, I'm having to type this in libre office, ortherwise it would
take twenty minutes what should take few mins, I'm having to go back and
correct everyword once or twice, even left arrow sometimes types in a

So far, it seems that disabling JUST id=8 works fine. If both are
enabled, the original problems remain (as expected). If I only disable
id=7, problems are the same.

I will test this a few more days to confirm further. It would be very
good if Lee Willis can reproduce this and confirm also.

[Bug 907381] Re: [Dell Vostro 3550] Display resolution keeps switching with external monitor connected

2014-04-16 Thread Goran Obal
Lee Willis - that's very nice to hear!

Yeah, it would be interesting to know the actual issue, so I would also
like the developers to further investigate it. If it were purely
hardware error, the switching would occur in Windows (7 in my test case)
too, but it doesn't.

However, I am very glad that workaround solves the problem, so Vostro
3550 users can enjoy linux!

[Bug 1293425] Re: [Dell Vostro 3550] Display resolution keeps switching with external monitor connected

2014-04-15 Thread Goran Obal
I think the workaround can almost be confirmed, I no longer have issues
described in this bug report. I am only waiting for Lee Willis to
confirm that it works the same for him and IMHO then the workaround can
be official.

I have made a script (path-to-my-script) with contents:
xinput disable 7
xinput disable 8
xinput disable 17

Then I did:
chmod +x path-to-my-script

And I have put this in my /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf:
session-setup-script=path-to-my-script

And now the workaround is automated and I don't have to wory about it
anymore.

Note: The numbers after xinput disable are likely to be different on
another computer, so you have to first determine, which numbers
correspond to Video Bus and another Video Bus and Dell WMI hotkeys.

2014-04-08 Thread Goran Obal
Found a related bug IMHO:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1063658
With that one 'xinput disable x' was also workaround.
If you go and read that bug report, you can see that it really is about the
same thing, only that the user didn't use external monitor for a while and when
he did, he reported If second monitor is plugged flickering of windows stops
and system starts to turn off and on both monitors with different resolutions.
- sounds like he's talking about the same thing to me.
Furthermore, he also uses Vostro 3550.

[Bug 1293425] Re: [Dell Vostro 3550] Display resolution keeps switching with external monitor connected

2014-04-02 Thread Goran Obal
I have found a possible workaround.

For two days now I haven't had spontaneous monitor/resolution swithing, here's
what I have done.
Immediately after boot I launch terminal and do the following:

Vostro-3550:~$ xinput
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2[master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointerid=4[slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ Logitech USB Optical Mouseid=12 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ DualPoint Stick id=15 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ AlpsPS/2 ALPS DualPoint TouchPad id=16 [slave pointer (2)]
⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3[master keyboard (2)]
↳ Virtual core XTEST keyboard id=5[slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Power Button id=6[slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Power Button id=9[slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Sleep Button id=10 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Laptop_Integrated_Webcam_FHD id=11 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Dell Dell USB Entry Keyboard id=13 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ AT Translated Set 2 keyboard id=14 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Video Bus id=8[slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Video Bus id=7[slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Dell WMI hotkeys id=17 [slave keyboard (3)]
Vostro-3550:~$

Vostro-3550:~$ xinput disable 7
Vostro-3550:~$ xinput disable 8
Vostro-3550:~$ xinput disable 17

And that seems to do the trick.
I will do this every day now and will report back if it turns out that it
doesn't work.

[Bug 907381] Re: [Dell Vostro 3550] Display resolution keeps switching with external monitor connected

2014-03-18 Thread Goran Obal
Lee Willis, I was having the very same issue with fglrx - corrupted display,
barely usabe, clicking didn't work, even after barely possible to target what
you wanted to click, etc.
However, I came to this fix that works - run Terminal with keyboard CTRL+ALT+T
and do sudo su and then xrandr --output VGA1 --auto --right-of LVDS1 --output
VGA1 --auto --scale 1.0001x1.0001
After that, everything becomes usable again. However, this does NOT fix the
issue with random switching of resolutions/monitors/mirroring! That is still
present.
Now, I am testing with Ubuntu 14.04 for my bug report and will provide feedback
when I have used it for long enough.

Oh, Christopher M. Penalver, I have seen your info that this laptop had
new BIOS released - the A12 and I flashed it today. I still had the
exact same problem on Ubuntu 13.10 (saucy) and as I said, I will report
(in my bug report) how version 14.04 goes...

[Bug 1293425] Re: [Dell Vostro 3550] Display resolution keeps switching with external monitor connected

2014-03-18 Thread Goran Obal
I am now using Ubuntu 14.04 from the link above. At the time of starting this
bug report I was using 13.04 (raring) and then also 13.10 (saucy) but the
problem was the same with both. Will see how will it be with 14.04.
So far I have noticed one difference though! If I did cat
/sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch on 13.04 and 13.10 I got:

0:IGD:+:Pwr::00:02.0
1:DIS: :Off::01:00.0

With 14.04 I get somethin a bit different:

0:IGD:+:Pwr::00:02.0
1:DIS: :DynOff::01:00.0

Notice the Dyn in second line.
This is ofcourse before installing AMD drivers. After I install those,
vgaswitcheroo is no longer there.

For now, I will not install AMD drivers on 14.04 to see if the problem
will come up out-of-the-box. If I don't see any troubles for a whole
week, I will install AMD drivers and provide feedback about both. If
problems come up before, I will install AMD drivers right after.

[Bug 1293425] [NEW] [Dell Vostro 3550] Display resolution keeps switching with external monitor connected

2014-03-17 Thread Goran Obal
Public bug reported:

My laptop is DELL Vostro 3550. BIOS A11.
If I use external monitor and extend my desktop to both the built-in laptop
display and the external LCD, the display settings are auto-changed by the
system. This may include:
- Resetting to mirrored displays at 1024x768
- Resetting to a single display on the laptop panel
- Resetting to a single display on the external monitor

I am finding though that the issue is worse by far if I use AMD GPU than if I
use Intel GPU. I switch between them with AMD CCC, however the issue is present
even if I never install AMD drivers and just use Intel GPU out-of-the-box.
So, if I use AMD GPU my monitors keep switching between resolutions, mirroring
switches on and off very frequently - like more times every minute. If I use
Intel GPU I can go a day without spontaneous switching of resolutions and/or
mirroring displays, sometimes it happens like 2 or 3 times per day.

[Bug 1044408] Re: gnome-shell-calendar-server crashed with signal 5 in source_registry_object_manager_thread()

2012-10-26 Thread Goran Sterjov
I got the same error after an update and fixed it by re-installing libebackend
with `sudo apt-get install --reinstall libebackend-1.2-5`.
For some reason it had been deleted (probably from autoremove or an update).
Hopefully this helps.

Hi all,

I can find

/usr/lib/pion/plugins/FileService.so

2012-04-20 Thread Goran Muminovic
Public bug reported:

flash plugin worked fine then it had 2 automatic updates.. it
