[Bug 627540] [NEW] Auto detect keyboard during install fails for Spanish keyboards
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce this error: 1. Install Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx on any computer with a Spanish keyboard. 2. When the keyboard detection screen appears try to type the accented 'a' character (á). This is, first press the accent key and then press the a letter in the keyboard for testing the keyboard. Desired output: The box should display an accented 'a' character (á). Current output. The box displays an apostroph an an'a' character ('a). Workaround: If you choose to select manually the keyboard settings, you just have to select any keyboard layout and then choose again the auto detect keyboard layout. Then, the keyboard would work correctly. Please note that the keyboard layout selected by default is actually correct. However, it does not seem to work correctly in the text box for testing it. [Bug 619765] [NEW] Wrong warning for while autorun of Ubuntu 10.04.1 in Windows
Public bug reported: When you enter the Ubuntu 10.04.1 disk (ubuntu-10.04.1-desktop-i386), it appears a wrong warning message with the text No hay disco en la unidad. Inserte un disco en la unidad \Device\Harddisk1\DR2 (No disk at the unit. Insert a disk at the unit \Device\Harddisk1\DR2). You have to click Cancel in several dialogs to finally get to the Ubuntu's dialog box for Windows (which offer the Wubi option, amongst others). ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Wrong warning for while autorun of Ubuntu 10.04.1 in Windows https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/619765 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 48671] Re: Cannot rename by clicking on a file
I think that this is a good idea! The double-click to rename it is quite a standard. -- Cannot rename by clicking on a file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/48671 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 372132] Re: Create Document Templates
I also think that the current behaviour of the Create document is a bit against usability. While it is true that some options could be very user-specific, including the most used types of files (specially OpenOffice documents) would make the system more usable for most users. -- Create Document Templates https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/372132 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
RE: [Bug 213005] Re: file-roller asks for password on non-passworded multi-part rars when extracting over samba
Hi, Many thanks for helping solve this issue! The issue still appears in Hardy Heron. I have attached three sample files to this message. If you take file 'Example.part001.rar' to a different folder (the other two files are not present) and try to unrar it, it will ask for a password, even if the file was compressed with no password. If you have any other question about this, just let me know! RE: [Bug 213005] Re: file-roller asks for password on non-passworded multi-part rars when extracting over samba
Hi again, I've had a bit of trouble sending you the complete set of three files. Hotmail simply does not allow attaching the third file. I've managed to send you the 3 files including them in a zip file with the password 1. This is, you have to unzip the file Sample.zip with password 1 in order to be able to unrar files Example.part001.rar, Example.part002.rar, and Example.part003.rar, which are NOT password-protected. [Bug 252179] [NEW] Wrong treatment of accented characters when searching in help
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: yelp The list of results that appears after searching any term in the Spanish help looks as follows: Manual de Ajedrez á escrito en python y usa gtk+ y cairo para renderizar el tablero ... Herramientas de accesibilidad ...working with brltty v3.8 requires that the python bindings for brlapi are built/installed as par... Manual de Gestión de energía í hay una simple demostración en python: Manual de F-Spot ón web escrita en python que usa directamente la base de datos de f-spo... This list has been obtained by searching the keyword Python. As you can see, the accented characters have not been treated as characters. So, instead of está escrito, for instance, we only get á escrito, that is not very meaningful. I suggest treating accented characters as normal characters. In the former example, á should be treated as a when showing the results. [Bug 224265] [NEW] [Hardy] Wubi can not be installed from a downloaded Desktop CD
Public bug reported: When you download the Ubuntu 8.04 Desktop iso file, you burn it into a CD and try to use that CD to install Ubuntu using Wubi, it simply doesn't work. It always appears an error message stating that other applications are using the CD, even if Wubi is the only application that has been open. This issue may be bypassed using Daemon tools but, for the non-techical Windows users that want to try Ubuntu using Wubi and the Desktop CD, this may discourage them from trying Ubuntu. So, please fix this issue. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Hardy] Wubi can not be installed from a downloaded Desktop CD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/224265 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
