[Bug 878951] [NEW] Two keyboard indicators are visible in Gnome-Shell
Public bug reported: When using Gnome-Shell 3.2 with multiple keyboard layouts, the gnome keyboard layout switcher indicator is visible in the top right of the status bar, while another keyboard layout switcher indicator with a different icon shows up in the bottom panel... In upstream gnome-settings-daemon's keyboard plugin, a GtkStatusIcon is created using libgnomekbd. GNOME Shell blacklists that StatusIcon, since it is needed in fallback mode but not Shell. Ubuntu has a patch that replaces the StatusIcon code with an AppIndicator, which has a StatusIcon fallback. The problem is that the StatusIcon made by libappindicator has a different WM_CLASS name. I guess the best solution would be for Ubuntu to make sure that their indicator patches to GNOME components are bypassed entirely outside of Unity. Ok, I believe I found the cause of this problem. It seems that Kernel 2.4.24 and lower do not have supporting drivers for the Broadcom 4311 and 4312 (rev 02) chipset. [Bug 141613] Re: npviewer.bin crashed with SIGSEGV
I ran valgrind --trace-children=yes --log-file-exactly=valgrind.txt --tool=memcheck /usr/bin/firefox I have attached the log file to this post. [Bug 141613] Re: npviewer.bin crashed with SIGSEGV
I can confirm this bug. I am running 7.10 on AMD64 platform. Most of the crashes seemed to occur after upgrading to the latest flashplugin- nonfree 9.0.115.0 Firefox will usually not crash; however, npviewer.bin process will crash and consume 100% cpu on about 50% of flash websites. [Bug 138746] Re: CalDAV calenders do not work
As far as I know, Evolution only allows read access on iCalendar over Webdav. Yeah, I know that really sucks! I think CalDav is Read/Write, so you can collaborate; however, you need a CalDav server. [Bug 153390] Blank Screen on Fresh Install of Gutsy 64bit & Nvidia
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg My configuration: Intel Q6600 Quad Core, Gigabyte Motherboard - 4GB Ram - Nvidia 8500GT Gutsy RC will lose video (ie. go blank screen) during graphical install... You can get around this by doing a text install; however, when booting the newly installed system you will lose video at the bootsplash. Steps to reproduce: 1) Download Gutsy 64 Bit Release Candidate 2) Do a test install (graphic install doesn't work, as stated above). 3) Boot into the newly installed System... It seems that the bootsplash is responsible for losing video. The system does not freeze, in fact it continues booting, but you just never get your video back, thus rendering it useless. A temporary fix, that I found, is to change "splash" to "nosplash" in the grub config. You will not have bootsplash, but at least you can boot into X after that fix. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Blank Screen on Fresh Install of Gutsy 64bit & Nvidia https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/153390 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
