[Bug 130559] Re: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03) - no sound
Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron and sound does not work on Hardy (upgraded from Gutsy). are you sure about that? If so, nvidia drivers are also flawed. -- [fglrx] freezes upon Logout or Switch user [patch] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/118605 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 118605] Re: [fglrx] freezes upon Logout or Switch user [patch]
I do not know wether it has sense to split it, but half a week ago I also reported this behaviour as a kdm bug, here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdebase/+bug/226615 -- [fglrx] freezes upon Logout or Switch user [patch] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/118605 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 118605] Re: [fglrx] freezes upon Logout or Switch user [patch]
It's not the video drivers problem. I have the same thing on Hardy with nvidia (kubuntu). Looks like a login manager problem (kdm). -- [fglrx] freezes upon Logout or Switch user [patch] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/118605 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 226615] [NEW] logging in after a log-out does not work.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdm It seems to me that after the upgrade to hardy (kubuntu) there is an issue with login. Logging in works perfectly, but if I try to logout the screen is black and I am unable to do anything (and I do mean anything, ctrl-alt-f{1,2,3,4,5,6} do not work, ctrl-alt-del do work, but I can just turn off the computer as well...). I do not know what seems to be the problem. Just to let you know: If i choose to logout and immediately do ctrl-alt-f1 I see a text console, and, after a short period it disappears and the standard login (kdm) theme shows up. So that's working, but why it does not work after "normal" log-out? It's possible to log in and then start another session "just in case", but that's all. This bug is kinda annoying. I really don't know wether it's a sure kdm bug, but becouse it's about the login stuff I decided to report it. ** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- logging in after a log-out does not work. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/226615 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is subscribed to kdebase in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 208718] Re: nvidia-glx-new driver displays white screen of death
Is it nvidia driver's or rather internal ubuntu problem? Hi. I have 8400M GS and it does not work, there is a crash on-boot. Messages on boot: Starting up ... Other problem (which I do not know where to send) is that when I log off, the screen is black and it's impossible to do ANYTHING (even alt- ctrl-f1) - this is with 'nv', as 'nvidia' does not work. It have been working before the upgrade. It's some kind of freeze... maybe unsuccessful hibernate attempt?
