[Bug 1369481] [NEW] The trusty machine type should stick to the 2.0 version
Public bug reported: If I understand correctly, the pc-i440fx-trusty machine type introduced by bug #1294823 is meant to solve migration problems, by using a default which stay the same between versions. Unfortunately the patch was written by pointing to the pc default machine type, so is 2.1 in the utopic packaging version. It seems the intent of the machine type is to stay stable over time, so it would make sense to me if the patch was fixed in the utopic version to point to the 2.0 machine type, instead of the default. ** Affects: qemu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to qemu in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1369481 Title: The trusty machine type should stick to the 2.0 version To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu/+bug/1369481/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Hi Raymond, Tks for the info above. However i need some clarification about your explanation as i am not an advance Linux user. 1) I got that Realtek codec parser takes the headphone output as primary at first which generates the issue. 2) It seems that there is a patch to fix this issue ( see kernel link) but I should do to get it? Click on this link : sound/pci/hda/patch_realtek.c 22? then what I should do? 3) what is the next step of the procedure? It s all alien language fome:( 4) As for docking station i dont have got any 5) By the way, just noticed that the sound icon disappeared from the screen + when I opened the system settings to manage the sound settings I noticed that my built-in speakers are not recognized and mentioned anymore + no possibility to launch a sound test anymore + plus input sound test doesnt react at all anymore, howerver if I plug a headset I can still get sound but cannot control its volume anymore :( -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1254536 Title: headphones work, built-in speakers don't (after update) ubuntu version 13.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1254536/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I reboot my system and end up with black screens after the boot display. Restarting in recovery mode and choosing boot in safe graphic mode did not work. I had to restart the system and boot in recovery mode, remove all AMD drivers, reinstall the default basic display driver and reboot. The system then boot and gave me back access to the login page. I then reinstall the last version of the the AMD drivers (that were installed and running fine before). We depended on it to not depend directly on update-manager-core. As the dependency has been dropped there, it looks like it can/should be dropped in Landscape. [Bug 1045237] Re: please drop python-gnupginterface dependency
We depend on it because the release upgrade script needs it (as in http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/precise-updates/main/dist- upgrader-all/current/precise.tar.gz). [Bug 670289] Re: Laptop won't shut down with rabbitmq running
Client, thanks for looking at it. As Björn mentioned there is not much to say. I think I've identified one linked problem though, where the service doesn't start sometimes: rabbitmq is tied to the existence of a particular hostname (generally the one detected when first installed). Since Maverick, NetworkManager seems to do some weird trick with /etc/hosts, making the local hostname unresolvable at some points. At least when it doesn't start, I get a can't resolve hostname error in startup_err, which could map with what Björn is saying, where the hostname can't be found at shutdown (presumably after NM did his job on a laptop). Björn: do you have anything in shutdown_err by any chance? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to rabbitmq-server in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/670289 Title: Laptop won't shut down with rabbitmq running -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
