[Bug 643910] Re: No effect when unchecking "Compress weekends in month view"
Let me add that also the problem that end times of appointments are always shown is fully reproducible. STR: 1. Open Evolution. 2. Uncheck the "Calendar and Tasks > Display > Show appointment end times in week and month view" option 3. Switch to calendar month view (or week view) 3. Public bug reported: After updated all my installed packages for 9.10, every single folder and file, except the special ones like "Music" or "Videos" are marked as ubuntuone-synchronized. See the image attached. Because I disabled the auto-start of ubuntuone client and have never set anything to sync with or to, because you already created a special folder called Ubuntu One in my home, I kindly think this is a bug and not a policy issue. Well, the good news is: this problem is fixed in our current SVN version - since the function causing the crash has been replaced :) So I would recommend to check out our current SVN version. Hi, I am one of the STK admins. Thank you for your report, it would help us a lot if any bugs could be reported on our website or development list (see http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=202302). > 1. Music when trying to turn off returns back on except for Sound effects I put this into our bug tracker. > 2. Sound effects are a bit off That's caused by using plib sound. We strongly recommend using OpenAL sounds, since this fixes the delay (and will be the only supported sound version very soon anyway). > 3. When finally getting sound turned off it comes back on later when i press > esc and return to race on like one of the levels. Again, I put this into our tracker. > 4. The Star Track messes up the AI players and when I am in the lead and they > are way behind somehow - SOMEHOW i lose the game by the AI players somehow > gaining lead even when crashing up themselves. Hmm - we have fixed a few places in the tracks where the AI got stuck, so I think this issue should be fixed. But I am not aware that the AI can actually win (not with 0.3, since it should detect any shortcuts which the AI might take involuntarily when falling down the track). Could you try to reproduce the problem: jsut drive it again, and when you see that the AI wins (or is suddenly ahead of you) press F10: this will create a history.dat file for the last 5 frames or so in the current working directory. Please compress this file and send it to the development list. That would help a lot! > 5.Sometimes on Gowns Bow it does the same thing as Star Track See above :) [...] > .2 was okay - had VERY FEW bugs and I mean very very few why did you guys switch - the New grass/side slowdown is awful and hard to navigate a bit with the keyboard - that could just be me. I think the only thing was to add new tracks only and maybe the new writing would of been okay, but this version for gutsy has tooo many bugs to be playable. I still think the 0.3 release made quite a bit of progress (but then I wasn't aware of some of the problems you have reported). The slowdown was actually done on request by players who were taking way too many shortcuts, which made the highscore lists kind of useless. People started comapring the shortcuts they were taking, and not the actual times anymore I always play STK with keyboard, and find that the 0.3 release requires a bit more skill with the slow down. You can't simply drive high speed all the time, you have to brake and slow down, so a bit of an attitude (or driving style) change is necessary for 0.3. Is this more or less fun? It probably depends on your taste. But we welcome all feedback, esp. from people just playing it (they just have a different perspective from us developers). But I (and the other developers) all agree that this slow down is not that good, and we will fix this in the next release. Suggestions are welcome: the main problem is how to avoid people taking unwanted shortcuts, but not punishing them too much when being only a little bit off track. One solution would be to redesign the tracks to avoid any possibilities of shortcuts (e.g. by adding barriers, rocks, ...) - but that on the other time makes impacts the visual appeal somewhat. The next release will have significantly better physics (no more stupid stopping when hitting a kart), and we are looking at tweaking the friction parameters to get a better behaviour.
