[Bug 151374] UBUNTU 7.10 Dev, HD 2900, 2600 and 2400? SOUND HDMI-Nvidia sound

2007-10-10 Thread iLoVe.cF-
Public bug reported:

Okey, sound outputs of lspci:

05:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Unknown device 9400
05:00.1 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc Unknown device aa00
00:04.0 Multimedia audio controller: nVidia Corporation CK804 AC'97 Audio
Controller (rev a2)

Well, the hdmi audio works nearly, but.. well.. plays stuff to fast, and
i get xmms to work with nvidia sound controller, but not with firefox
and such, they still try to use the hdmi output on the hd2900 xt, this
will probaly apply to ALL HD series card with hdmi output.

tried various methods, by graphical config, and since that wont work
will this be looked on a troublesome issue for newbies to linux, and
lotsa truebleshooting.

** Affects: ubuntu
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
