[Bug 985202] Re: libx11 causes kwin to crash on login (over NX protocol)

2013-02-07 Thread idefixx
The new packages do seem to help! :-)

I downloaded and installed the new libxrandr2 packages (i386 and amd64)
from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libxrandr and they do indeed
seem to resolve this issue.

I have logged in via vnc and tested change of desktop resolution via
xrandr -s. Kwin did not crash any more, nor did kded4. Very nice. I hope
it works for all of you logging in via NX. (I recently gave up
completely on NX and x2go since there is always something not working,
like authentication for some system settings...)

[Bug 1073890] Re: kded4/kdeinit4 crashes with segmentation fault (segfault) after logging in in Quetzal

2013-01-24 Thread idefixx
kdeinit4 stopped crashing after I switched from nx to x2go. So it seems
I was actually bitten by https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/985202 even
though it looked like it was this bug. However, maybe others have the
same problem with this bug.,

[Bug 226129] Re: keyboard layout shortcuts dont work with automatic login enabled 8.04

2008-07-04 Thread idefixx
The fix suggested by c4pp4 did help. I added this to InputDevice:
 Option "XkbLayout" "se,us"
 Option "XkbOptions" "grp:alt_shift_toggle"

Then it seems to work. However I don't know if I can now edit the
keyboard layouts in the GUI.

I have not tried the setxkbmap fix.

2008-05-04 Thread idefixx
I see this bug too. I use automatic login and can't switch between
swedish and english keyboard. Only if I log out and back in again can I
switch keyboard. No such problems were in the 7.10 release.

[Bug 112923] Re: raid of hdX/sdX not assembled correctly

2007-05-07 Thread idefixx
Made a workaround by following
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=2236181&postcount=5

This bug is maybe a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mdadm/+bug/103177 (which is in
state fixed, but most posts in that thread seems to indicate otherwise).

[Bug 112923] raid of hdX/sdX not assembled correctly

2007-05-06 Thread idefixx
Public bug reported:

It seems that if you build a raid1 array of for example hda1 and sda1 and then
reboot, the array only has sda1 in the array and hda1 is missing (and has to be
manually re-added). For more info, see
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=422962
Seems the raid code assumes both disks in the array are either hdX or sdX but
not a mix.

Bug was found in ubuntu 7.04 feisty fawn
