[Bug 1322925] Re: Copy, paste stops working randomly in Ubuntu 14.04 nautilus

2014-12-28 Thread iflow
I have got the same problem on Ubuntu 14.04 64bit (with all available updates),
but I'm using the file manager Nemo (version: 1.8.4).
Closing all file manager windows and reopen them temporarily fixes the problem.
However this is very annoying if you have got a lot of windows/tabs open...

[Bug 1203499] Re: Cannot select HDMI sound output at Notebook TravelMate 5730 with ATI RV620 HDMI

2013-10-01 Thread iflow
Thank you, workaround 1 worked for me to fix the audio problem:

=== Workaround 1 ===

Edit /etc/default/grub and change this line:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=quiet splash

to this line

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=quiet splash radeon.audio=1

Now run sudo update-grub, then reboot your computer.

[Bug 1203499] [NEW] Cannot select HDMI soud output at Notebook TravelMate 5730 with ATI RV620 HDMI

2013-07-21 Thread iflow
Public bug reported:

If I attach my HDMI cable to my notebook with Ubuntu 13.04, I can not
use the HDMI sound output. But my monitor/graphics (on the other end of
the HDMI cable) works. I just do not see the HDMI sound output item in
Settings - Sound Settings (Play sound through). Only the notebook's
built in speakers are shown here.

HDMI cable and speaker are working (Tested it with Windows 7).

I tried this without success: http://askubuntu.com/a/287487/175489
Short story:
I downloaded from ALSA Launchpad the package:
oem-audio-hda-daily-dkms_0.201307180559~raring1_all.deb. Then installed it and
rebooted. No success. Again reinstalled the package via Ubuntu Software Center.
No success.

[Bug 1160569]

2013-07-05 Thread iflow
(In reply to Wayne Mery (:wsmwk) from comment #18)
 Does this belong in startup? Or should it move to core, or back to
 Thunderbird?

 Also,
 https://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging/topics/
 thunderbird_craches_in_arch_linux#reply_12417609 states TB23 beta works. Can
 others confirm?

The warnings only appear on startup and everything works normal so far.
