[Bug 335570] Re: [LENOVO 7454CTO] suspend/resume failure
I have got a Y530 too with hardware a little bit different : Intel P7530, GeForce 9500M G and iwlagn for wifi. The trick given above seems to work but the laptop awakes instantly. The pm-suspend.log file is attached. ** Attachment added: pm-suspend.log https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/335570/+attachment/1779522/+files/pm-suspend.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/335570 Title: [LENOVO 7454CTO] suspend/resume failure -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 256629] Re: wireless network does not work on Sony VAIO SR19VN [Intel Wireless WiFi Link 5100]
In fact after posting a bug to the kernel bugzilla, I've followed the advice of a kernel dev who ask me if it work under windows. As I've formated my hard disk before giving a single boot to vista I've had to install XP and lenovo tools for acpi and hotkeys, and guess what, it works! Since I've tried the shortcut under windows my wireless card still on. So my my problem wasn't realy the same, good luck! -- wireless network does not work on Sony VAIO SR19VN [Intel Wireless WiFi Link 5100] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/256629 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

First thx for your help Leann! The command (sudo) echo 0 /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/state didn't work, bash tell me that he doesn't have the permission to do it. If I edit it with nano and save it no error but cat /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/state still return me 2. For information, here is my gdm.conf-custom : # GDM Configuration Customization file. # # This file is the appropriate place for specifying your customizations to the # GDM configuration. If you run gdmsetup, it will automatically edit this # file for you and will cause the daemon and any running GDM GUI programs to # automatically update with the new configuration. Not all configuration # options are supported by gdmsetup, so to modify some values it may be # necessary to modify this file directly by hand. # # Older versions of GDM used the gdm.conf file for configuration. If your # system has an old gdm.conf file on the system, it will be used instead of # this file - so changes made to this file will not take effect. Consider # migrating your configuration to this file and removing the gdm.conf file. # # To hand-edit this file, simply add or modify the key=value combination in # the appropriate section in the template below. Refer to the comments in the # /usr/share/gdm/defaults.conf file for information about each option. Also # refer to the reference documentation. # # If you hand edit a GDM configuration file, you should run the following # command to get the GDM daemon to notice the change. Any running GDM GUI # programs will also be notified to update with the new configuration. # # gdmflexiserver --command=UPDATE_CONFIG configuration key # # e.g, the Enable key in the [debug] section would be debug/Enable. # # You can also run gdm-restart or gdm-safe-restart to cause GDM to restart and # re-read the new configuration settings. You can also restart GDM by sending # a HUP or USR1 signal to the daemon. HUP behaves like gdm-restart and causes # any user session started by GDM to exit immediately while USR1 behaves like # gdm-safe-restart and will wait until all users log out before restarting GDM. # # For full reference documentation see the gnome help browser under # GNOME|System category. [Bug 54419] Re: usb change between 2.6.15-23 and 2.6.15-26 breaks working setup
I had exactly the same problem as you guys on a 2.6.17 kernel (edgy) and I've tried to unload the ehci_hcd module. That worked, but only with usb1.1 and not all the time... After some research on google I've found this that worked great! Just add irqpoll' to the boot option of your kernel in menu.lst... With this fix, I've usb2.0 and my usb memory key work all the time... Hope it help. -- usb change between 2.6.15-23 and 2.6.15-26 breaks working setup https://launchpad.net/bugs/54419 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
