[Bug 1633162] Re: Files application throws an error 'Oops! Something went wrong' when clicked on 'Recents'

2017-02-13 Thread j...@vosslers.net
#15 workaround does NOT work for me.

My issue is specific to accessing an audio CD in an external USB CD
drive.

The issue surfaced when I upgraded the Ubuntu 16.04 kernel from 4.4.0-59
to 4.4.0-62.

Booting under the older 4.4.0-59 kernel does NOT restore functionality.

At the same time I upgraded the kernel I also upgraded several packages
(apt-get upgrade). I suspect the bug was introduced in one of these
packages.

[Bug 1104349] Re: share folder is not working

2014-09-12 Thread j...@vosslers.net
I can also confirm this.

New install of remmina on 12.04 attempting to connect to windows 2012
system (that rdesktop will not connect to).

Any progress on this?

[Bug 54154] Re: kpdf ignores duplex printing settings and forces duplex

2009-12-07 Thread j...@vosslers.net
This is still affecting me. Hardy 8.04.3 LTS/kpdf/HP 2300.

Always prints documents in duplex along the long axis. Since Hardy is
LTS We need to get the fix back ported from Intrepid to Hardy soon.

This has been a bug for far too long.

Does anyone have a solution or work around in Hardy?

[Bug 361214] [NEW] conduit stops with no error when illegal file name encountered

2009-04-14 Thread j...@vosslers.net
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: conduit

Conduit will simply stop at xx% synchronized and never make any progress
when attempting to sync a file to another system where the file name is
illegal.

In my case I had file names that contained a colon : and other special
characters. While these file names are perfectly fine on Ubuntu and all
other forms of *nix that I use, they are illegal on the windows system a
colleague uses.

I think that the synchronization process should generate some type of
error indicating what file it stopped on and then the sync should fail.

I took several hours for me to narrow down the exact directory conduit
was stopping at and once I attempted to copy over the files manually I
understood the issue. The file names were altered (they contained a
time stamp with a colon) and the sync worked correctly.

The sync was set up between my Ubuntu system and his folder that is
NFS mounted to my system. It is NFS since the windows system is running
SFU (Services For Unix).

I am running Conduit 0.3.6 on Ubuntu 8.05 LTS
