Yes - I have the exact same issue. I have uninstalled lo-menubar, but
that seems to be a sad solution :(

[Bug 488371] Re: Curitiba is wrongly translated in the clock as Curitaba for Danish

2009-12-22 Thread jakslev
David - believe I just corrected it. However the darn system asked me to
continue translating 2000 other cities :-o Hope it can wait a bit with
them!

[Bug 67189] Re: smb password not being saved in gnome keyring

2009-12-21 Thread jakslev
Hi Amanda - I am getting the same issue on one of our machines. I
suspected it might be related to this machine starting up and logging in
without the use of a password.

[Bug 458334] Re: Fails repeatably with DBus error org.gtk.Private.RemoteVolumeMonitor.NotFound: The given volume was not found

2009-12-03 Thread jakslev
I have followed the instruction / work-around from revoltism and it
worked. I run US ubuntu, so it is hardly related to the utf-8, and the
folder I had it in was also the download folder. I moved the folder to
my user home folder and after having formated the stick to ext3 it
worked!

I use Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit.

[Bug 465030] Re: Bandwith limit preference doesn't appear to be saved

2009-11-24 Thread jakslev
My Ubuntu One will not connect at start up. I have to click on
Bandwidth limitation and then it will connect. When I go back in it
will have greyed out all the boxes again. I am still able to surf the
internet and it doesn't seem that it doing anything except waking up the
application.

Stilla hanging on to Dropbox while this continues :o)

[Bug 469818] Re: taskbar icons corrupted after logging out and back in

2009-11-11 Thread jakslev
I have the same issue on 9.10. Sometimes it is missing the gnome panel.
When I restart it normally is back there, but the system will complain
that the gnome panel is not responding, are you sure you want to
reboot?

I would suspect this to be linked to compiz or 3d effects?

Still no luck with this from me. Seems Dropbox is really the way to go!
A shame though...

[Bug 388694] [NEW] Wireless scanning using xsane on HPC 4585

2009-06-17 Thread jakslev
Public bug reported:

I have downloaded the HPLIP package and connected my Linux Ubuntu 9.04
to my HP C4585 multifunction machine. This works fine and I am able to
print. However when I open the Xsane scanner application I get the
following error message:

Failed to open device `v4l:dev/video0': Invalid argument.

I have tried to comment the line out in the config file but then it just
tells me I have nothing that can scan. Also I have tried running xsane
as sudo, but that didn't work either.

The wireless printer is connecting to the wireless access point used by
my computer as well. Nothing seems to odd otherwise.

Help?

[Bug 355348] Re: Wallpaper-Tray does not load in 9.04 Jaunty BETA

2009-04-06 Thread jakslev
Dear Yghannam,

Ad 1) I just tried the add to panel solution and it worked perfectly.
I believe it was somehow kicked out of my panel when I upgraded..

Ad 2) The Weather 0.2 is working fine, but I get an error message just
as Ubuntu is starting up saying: This error report does not apply to a
packaged program. (/usr/share/screenlets/Weather/WeatherScreenlet.py).
My wireless internet connection always take a minute or two to work, so
this might be a problem related to that I do not have an internet
connection at start up. If I close down the ScreenLetsManager and
restart it I do not get any error message..

Ad 3) It used to work fine for me as well.. Now the option of GPU core
temp. has just disappeared from the list. When I go into the nVidia
Manager I do get a temperature on the GPU. I have a GeForce 8600M GS,
which is 63 degrees hot right now.

Thanks!

[Bug 355348] [NEW] Wallpaper-Tray does not load in 9.04 Jaunty BETA

2009-04-04 Thread jakslev
Public bug reported:

After upgrading from 8.10 to 9.04 BETA 1, following the instructions on
the Ubuntu website; i have noted the following small problems:

1) Wallpaper-tray from Gnome no longer works.
2) Screenlet add-on Weather 0.2 by Robgig comes up with an error message
saying the error report is wrong at start-up. However the add-on works fine.
3) Screenlet add-on RingSensorsScreenlet 0.3 by Whise no longer shows nVidia
core temperature.

I am running an HP Pavilion dv9000 series notebook with 64-bit. It dual-
boots with Windows Vista Ultimate.
