[Bug 2073517] [NEW] default jammy php8.1-memcached non compliant with php8.1

2024-07-18 Thread Jesus Ruiz
Public bug reported:

By default jammy 22.04 comes with PHP8.1. The memcached extension that
comes by default is 3.1.5.

However, 3.1.* branch is compatible just with PHP7. In order to have a
version fully compatible with PHP8, it looks like branch php-memcached
3.2 is needed according to this release changelog:
https://github.com/php-memcached-dev/php-memcached/releases/tag/v3.2.0

Note that this piece of code fails with Jammy (apt-get install memcached
php-cli php-memcached):

```
addServer('localhost', 11211);
$memcached->set('key', 'value');
$value = $memcached->get('key', null, Memcached::GET_EXTENDED);
$memcached->cas($value['cas'], 'key', 'value2', );
echo $memcached->get('key') . PHP_EOL;
```

calling to Memcached::cas() with an expiration value (fourth argument)
throws this error:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Memcached::cas(): Argument #4
($expiration) must be of type int, int given

Note that this code also works well when being run with Ondřej Surý PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~ondrej/+archive/ubuntu/php/+packages?field.name_filter=php-
memcached_filter=published_filter=

which contains php-memcached 3.2.0 (php8 compliant) rather than (3.1.5).

Above code does not fail either when run in focal 20.04 nor in noble
24.04.

2022-01-29 Thread Jesus Salvo
I have the same issue but I found a different workaround without having
to resort to the Ctrl-Alt-F2 then back to Ctrl-Alt-F1 trick for the
login screen to appear :

https://askubuntu.com/questions/1389869/multiple-monitors-black-screen-
with-blinking-cursor-and-gnome-desktop-login-on

I have to ensure that the "Primary Display" is set to the laptop monitor
instead of the external monitor connected via HDMI.

[Bug 1867668] Re: Visual artifacts in Gnome Shell when using the 'intel' Xorg driver

2020-08-23 Thread Jesus Salvo
Also confirming that removing xserver-xorg-video-intel solved the
problem for me too.

I did not also have /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf. However, I did
have /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/01-amdgpu-pro-px.conf which was trying to load
the intel driver that was just removed:

  jsalvo@rig01:~$ cat ~/xorg.conf.d-01-amdgpu-pro-px.conf
  Section "ServerFlags"
Option  "AutoAddGPU" "off"
  EndSection

  Section "Device"
Identifier "Intel"
Driver "intel"
  EndSection

  Section "Files"
ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules"
  EndSection

Have to remove that file as well and then also do a:

  sudo apt purge xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu-pro

... as the amdgpu-pro was installed when it was on 16.04 LTS, before the
upgrade to 20.04 LTS.

[Bug 1861936] Re: Raspberry Pi 3 network dies shortly after a burst of IPv6 tunnel network load ((lan78xx): transmit queue 0 timed out)

2020-04-26 Thread Jesus Feliz Fernandez
Hi all,

>From my tests, it doesn't seem like a problem related to ipv6, but with
high load in 3B+ version. In my case its easy to reproduce if I use
ipforward and connection state over 20.04 server pi image, more less
from scratch, static ip, pihole, tun0 and no ipv6.

root@pin:/home/janzun# uname -a
Linux pin 5.4.0-1008-raspi #8-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 8 11:13:06 UTC 2020 aarch64
aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux

# sysctl -p
net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.lo.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1|0 -> it depends

First test:

# echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
# iptables -F; iptables -X; iptables -P INPUT|FORWARD|OUTPUT ACCEPT
# wget -O /dev/null https://*/10GB.bin ==> Some error in one of the attemps

Second test (forget the purpose of the rules):

# echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
# iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -m state --state ESTABLISHED,RELATED -j ACCEPT
# wget -O /dev/null https://*/10GB.bin ==> Allways stopped at about 1.5GB and
crash (same with -p udp).

[Bug 1836730] Re: Raspberry Pi 3 brcmfmac error (brcmfmac43455-sdio.bin & brcmfmac43430-sdio.bin)

2019-12-31 Thread Jesus Munoz
I have just upgraded the package "linux-firmware" to version 1.173.14 and it
doesn't rewrite the files /lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43455-sdio.bin and
/lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43430-sdio.bin
Therefore, I think this issue has already been solved.

[Bug 1690541] Re: Scrolled windows in update-manager are too small to read

2017-08-14 Thread Emanuel de Jesus
I've just confirmed what I stated before, but with a small correction:
When expanding the details' area while in the download phase, it uses
all the available space, not only a few more lines, and that remains the
case during the installation phase. Then, if you happen to close the
details' area and open it again, it shows only one line and you can
never recover the space, no matter what you do afterwards.

[Bug 1690541] Re: Scrolled windows in update-manager are too small to read

2017-08-13 Thread Emanuel de Jesus
Spike, I haven't tested that in a while, but what I recall is that if
you expand the details while in the downloading phase, it then expands
to a few more lines in the installation phase. Can anyone confirm that?
I'll test it and report back, next time I use the updater.

Any debug we can help out?

What is the problem in the installer? Does it show some screen or

It installs fine here for both 2.9 and 2.0. Didn't test 2.0.1.

[Bug 1634102] Re: Installer mistakenly mounts Btrfs root filesystem at /target/home, and crashes afterwards

2016-10-25 Thread Jesus Delgado
Simple, your root partition is full (at 100% utilized). You need to free
up some space. Fastest way to get breathing room is to remove old log
files in /var/log, then look around and see what's taking up so much
space. You can easily see the size of individual directories with:

cd /
du -chs *

Other reason is that your Oracle database auditing is turned on, so after you
remove all the audit files from the audit directory,then it's OKay.
Regards.

2016-10-25 Thread Jesus Delgado
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Reviewing your log files attached to this bug report it
seems that there is a problem with your installation media (CD/DVD). You
can verify the integrity of the Ubuntu ISO files you downloaded by
following the instructions at
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM. You might also retry your
installation with new media. In the event that is is not in fact an
error with your installation media please set the bug's status back to
New. Thanks and good luck!

 I apologize if it reached you inappropriately; please just reply to
this message indicating so.
