[Bug 1134220] Re: passwd does not change disk encryption password resulting in an unsuable system

2013-03-06 Thread jist anidiot
root isn't enabled on my system, so i don't think it could have changed
my password. Hopefully this will be a moot point since I'll be
upgrading to 13.04 when it comes out.

[Bug 1134220] [NEW] passwd does not change disk encryption password resulting in an unsuable system

2013-02-27 Thread jist anidiot
Public bug reported:

Change the user's password via /usr/bin/passwd
Reboot. Try to login. The login will be aborted with an error of lnusertemp
thinks /tmp is full.
To fix it you have to login to the command line and run ecryptfs-mount-private
followed by ecryptfs-rewrap-passphrase ~/.ecryptfs/wrapped-passphrase and use
the password used with passwd.

[Bug 870674] Re: dependency chain of emacs23 should contain libcanberra-gtk-module

2012-09-18 Thread jist anidiot
I've been running Kubuntu 11.10 for a while now and I didn't have this
problem until I installed cheese. That required a bunch of packages.
I'm wondering if one of those packages didn't do something to emacs. As
the OP mentioned the solution is to install libcanberra-gtk-module.

[Bug 882165] [NEW] xscorch crashes kubuntu

2011-10-26 Thread jist anidiot
Public bug reported:

It keeps producing this error:

The font "fixed" does not support all the required character sets for
the current locale
"LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8;LC_NUMERIC=C;LC_TIME=en_US.UTF-8;LC_COLLATE=en_US.UTF-8;LC_MONETARY=en_US.UTF-8;LC_MESSAGES=en_US.UTF-8;LC_PAPER=en_US.UTF-8;LC_NAME=en_US.UTF-8;LC_ADDRESS=en_US.UTF-8;LC_TELEPHONE=en_US.UTF-8;LC_MEASUREMENT=en_US.UTF-8;LC_IDENTIFICATION=en_US.UTF-8"

It runs very slowly and after a short while it causes kubuntu to crash
and reboot.

[Bug 41456] Re: extremly crashy on paste

2011-02-14 Thread jist anidiot
This hasn't been fixed. I'm using OpenOffice 1.3 in kubuntu 10.04.2
LTS.

It crashes 100% of the time if I try to paste into an application
written in Java. The rest of the time is is about 75% crashing when
copying and pasting into another application.

[Bug 204010] Re: networking not working

2008-08-15 Thread jist anidiot
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 218126 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/218126

This bug is still in 8.04.

The URLS in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xen-3.2/+bug/204010/comments/47
no longer seem to be valid.

Is there somewhere else I can get the patches to make Xen work?
