[Bug 231127] Re: unable to launch applications - not found
Solved. This is not a bug. At least, not with this application. I solved this problem by solving another problem that I was having. I was unable to move files to trash. I did some investigating, and i saw some intriguing things. Despite the fact that .local/share/Trash had 777 permissions and owner:group had my own id's, i was unable to get in the directory. I changed it to 700 and it solved the problem. Then, I did the same to applications, and it solved this problem. :-) I still don't know how it got to this situation, but at least, now i know were to look. It Works. :-) I've a Toshiba P100-103 PSPA3E with the latest bios. [Bug 136469] Re: toshiba p100 series dsdt acpi error no sound, works with acpi turned off.
Those instructions are for DOS bootable BIOS. The latest BIOS is only available in Windows upgrade setup. But I did it. :-) I used a Windows Live CD Mini PEĀ² XT. Before booting up, I inserted the USB stick with BIOS update. Then I went to Windows Explorer, executed the EXE file and voila. -- toshiba p100 series dsdt acpi error no sound, works with acpi turned off. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/136469 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi, I've a couple of questions unanswered that trouble me. which are: 1. How do I upgrade the bios, if I only have Linux? Any ideas? 2. Why isn't the kernel compiled with INTEL_HDA support?
