The home directories are distributed to the 3 servers. The users are developer and using eclipse. Eclipse is started as X Application on the 3 servers. When we have a higher write rate, all clients are blocked for until 30 seconds. As a workaround, i stop drbd in the morning and start itr again when working hour finished. Hi Daniel, thank you for your answer. I installed gnome-session-fallback, and yes there is a difference. With Unity top shows about 80%-120% CPU and the Load Index between 0,8 and 1,8. The i switched from Unity to Gnome Classic with effects (not Gnome Classic 2D). Top shows between 8% and 15% CPU and a Load Index between 0,1 and 0,3. This night i will start your dstack Script every 10 second for a minimum of 8 hours and leave the laptop untouched. Hope, thats ok for you. I think, the probnlem is this packege: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics. This issue persists since version 1.6.2-1ubuntu1~precise1. So i forced version 1.5.99.902-0ubuntu5. I have a idea. I had made a full backup on friday. With this backup the problem still persists. I can restore that on wednesday, because today i need my laptop today for the business issues.
