@marzal: How should that extension be helpful? If I try to right-click
on a bookmark, it still opens instead of showing the contextual menu.

1) I didn't find "linux-backports-modules-alsa-lucid-generic" package
relative to my kernel, but the problem is solved anyway, why do you
think it happens? will there be any consequences about the fact I didn't
install that package?

I have just tried the workaround to "duplicate" the printer and, setting
this one as defalut, the problem looks not to show itself anymore. I
don't know if anybody had already confirmed this workaround..I haven't

I can confirm that the BIOS update solved the suspend/resume problem.
And also the multimedia buttons (I don't know how to define them, my
english doesn't reach so far...) at the top of keyboard are working a
little better (before, changing the volume had become a really serious
ability proof!). Now I'm waiting only for the cracking/static noise from
speaker on reboot to be solved...any solution for that yet?

I have an HP Pavilion DV5-1112-el and I experience the same problem. The
system freezed once during a videochat, once during a file transfer to a
mobile phone via bluetooth and once during a conversion in xvid using
avidemux. I have a core2duo architecture, an nvidia vga and a 64-bit
system. It may be the same bug. Maybe we could try KDE?
