[Bug 359905] Re: nv drivers present wrong resolutions with Geforce 9800 GTX

[Bug 304969] Re: Hardy: Flash can't be installed since install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz can't be retrieved
This is not an invalid bug. Hardy is still the LTS release. This distribution shipped with the flashplugin-nonfree package. Please alter the package to point to the latest release of Flash 9. ** Changed in: flashplugin-nonfree (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = Confirmed -- Hardy: Flash can't be installed since install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz can't be retrieved https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/304969 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

8.04 is an LTS release. This package is only two years into a five-year support cycle. [Bug 359905] [NEW] nv drivers present wrong resolutions with Geforce 9800 GTX
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-nv This happens with the nvidia drivers as well. Apparently it either can't read EDID or it misreads the EDID, so it defaults to 1024x768. The monitor is a 1280x1024 LCD, but it's behind a Dell KVM. 1280x1024 is not in the list of resolutions with which I am presented in System - Preferences - Display. I can choose 1152x864 or 1360x768.
