[Bug 103578] Kaffeine Locks up computer 45-50 minutes through DVD Playback

2007-04-05 Thread kenshin
Public bug reported:

Kaffeine locks up the computer via a hard freeze. During which the
Keyboard lights blink on and off for caps lock and scroll lock. This
happens on my Plextor DVD burner (model: PX-755SA), with the latest
Kernel for Feisty Beta. This bug is very annoying.

I installed Feisty via Wubi. I have the Nvidia Drivers installed for my
8800 GTS (640 MB version) and 3D acceleration enabled. I posted on the
Ubuntu Forums serveral times with no response.

Here are the links to the posts:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=402083
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=402540

I have received no response to either of these posts. If this is not a Feisty
related Bug then please tell me so I can post it in the Wubi bug report.

2008-04-27 Thread kenshin
I receive something similair to the problem. I get the following:

When i attempt to load a file with this command:

javaws http://files.gokgs.com/javaBin/cgoban-nfa.jnlp

I receive this error:

netx: Lanuch Error: Could not launch JNLP file.
(java.lang.NullPointerException null)

Please someone attempt to fix this problem. I need to create shortcuts

[Bug 182971] Re: Java web start does not work

2008-04-27 Thread kenshin
I just figured out what was wrong for me, dont know if it has any
relevence. I had to run /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.06/jre/bin/javaws
http://files.gokgs.com/javaBin/cgoban-nfa.jnlp instead of just javaws.
