[Bug 222577] [NEW] amarok depends on gtk

2008-04-26 Thread kivan
Public bug reported:

Latest amarok on hardy heron will uninstall if I try to remove libgtk2.
I tracked the problem to the xine-plugins package. It seems that a gui
toolkit is needed to decode mp3s...

[Bug 194827] Re: package nvidia-glx-new 169.09+2.6.24.8-7.19 failed to install/upgrade:

2008-03-10 Thread kivan
The new version works, but it is necessary to --purge the old one first.
If there are no problems upgrading from gutsy the bug is fixed.

[Bug 197955] Re: not installable in hardy amd64

2008-03-03 Thread kivan
No, I have never installed anything from unofficial sources on this
machine. I just upgraded from gutsy a few months ago and then I have
updated my system about once every two days.

[Bug 82876] Synaptic wants to reinstall all recomended packages on upgrade

2007-02-02 Thread kivan
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: synaptic

I purged some packages recomended by kubuntu-desktop. I am now trying to
upgrade it from version 1.25 to 1.26, and synaptics wants to reinstall
them again. This also happens if I try apt from the command line, so it
probably isn't a bug in synaptic itself. The program should probably
install by default the recommends of the newer version that aren't
present in the old one, but it should avoid installing again the
packages that were manually removed.
