[Bug 569462] [NEW] Ubuntu One needs a link to music downloads
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox-ubuntuone-music-store After downloading a purchased album (SLOWLY.. but thats another bug!) from the Music store there should be a link within the Ubuntu One folder so I can see the files. The files are downloaded to /home/username/.local/share/ubuntuone/Purchased from Ubuntu One/ but there is no simple link anywhere to get to them. I expected the download to automatically go into my Rhythmbox music folder, but it doesn't. My next logical step was to look in the Ubuntu One folder in my user root, but nothing is there either. I would image for most users this will become frustrating rather quickly. At the very least, can you add a symlink in the Ubuntu One folder which points to the Purchased from... folder ? [Bug 502262] [NEW] autofs4 doesn't timeout cifs mounted shares
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: autofs Autofs is not auto unmounting after the timeout. I have adopted using autofs on 3 machines, a 9.20 mythbuntu, and two 9.04 crunchbang machines. On the crunchbang machines autofs will correctly honour the information in the auto.master and timeout the mounts when not in use ('not in use' is checked via lsof for the mount). On the 9.10 mythbuntu box however the mounts always remain active although no files are in use. Manually unmounting works correctly. Nothing in logged by autofs in messages/syslog I removed any switches for the timeout to see if it was my config but even the default timeout time doesn't work. (To see what timeout was relevant I run: 'ps -elf | grep autofs', you can see the timeout switch in the command) The config and autofs versions on all machines are the same (4.1.4+debian-2.1ubuntu2). [Bug 266927] Re: Static sound on Left Channel with hda-intel STAC 9221 A1
After posting here I decided it was about time I put some effort into sorting this. First step was to read the alsa config docs, which showed there is another mac hardware option model=intel-mac-auto Updated this into my modprobe.d file (which now reads: options snd-hda-intel position_fix=2 probe_mask=1 model=intel-mac-auto), and rebooted. Sound now seems to be fixed !? Have done 3 reboots and system has suspended another 3 or so times and the static hasn't returned. Seems the root cause is some alsa config. -- Static sound on Left Channel with hda-intel STAC 9221 A1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/266927 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 266927] Re: Static sound on Left Channel with hda-intel STAC 9221 A1
I am using an Intel Mac Mini, which, for over a year, never had these problems running Fedora, and I have been having this problem for the past two months now (using Mythbuntu) so I guess there is something in Ubuntu which has caused it. I have tried all the solutions I have found from purging the alsa install, rebooting many times, changing the PCM volumes and changing the modprobe conf. None of these are a permanent fix and the issue will come back after a suspend. Specifically the modprobe conf changes are interesting, as entering model=macmini causes all sound to stop on restart of the system (same results as using all other mac model options). -- Static sound on Left Channel with hda-intel STAC 9221 A1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/266927 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
