[Bug 14135] Re: Grub Install Failure

2009-10-26 Thread Espen Klem
Yesterday I used netboot install of the Karmic beta-version . Have a
server set up with tftpd and
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/karmic/main/installer-i386/current/images/netboot/netboot.tar.gz
.

It's a thin-client with a small flash-thingy inside (512 mb). Installed
the beta on a usb-disk (/dev/sdb). Both Grub2 and Grub refused to
install on it. I tried to instal them as master boot record (/dev/sdb),
but no luck. LiLo worked. Let me know if you need any hardware- or other
type of info about the system.

[Bug 224195] Re: Deluge crashed when starting up.

2009-03-15 Thread Espen Klem
Ok, tested it on Alpha6, it seems the setup has changed a bit, so this
is not a part of the desktop-ui anymore.

Tested:
 deluge -ui web

and I get a webpage on http://localhost:8112
Also tested while running the desktop GUI: no problem.

So: Fixed I guess, cool!

[Bug 224195] Re: Deluge crashed when starting up.

2009-03-07 Thread Espen Klem
Hi Hew,
I've just installed Jaunty from netboot
(http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/jaunty/main/installer-i386/current/images/netboot/),
 but got a problem.

When trying to install deluge I get a dependency error on the python-
libtorrent package. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this or
work around it so I get to test Deluge?

I'll test again when those bugs are out, but is it any way of getting an
auto-message on when they are?

Best regards,
Espen

Thanks for testing. Unfortunately there are still unresolved issues with
the python 2.6 transition. Deluge should be ready for installation and

[Bug 197130] Re: [hardy] Black X screen and system halt after installing linux-rt

2008-04-23 Thread klem
@Alessio Igor Bogani

Sorry, should have given more info.

I installed from and Ubuntustudio DVD, clean install. Prior to recent
updates I got the black screen. I could ssh in, but couldn't restart the
system. Had to do cold reboot.

Now after several updates X won't start...I've attached my latest
Xorg.0.log.

@prismatic7, they are using the latest nvidia BETA drivers. I tried them
with no luck.

my card is NVIDIA 7200GS --

as stated before, works fine with generic kernel

I'm experiencing the same issue with linux-rt, linux-generic works fine:
