Intel Celeron 440 (Core 2 solo) @2GHz, 1024Mo DDR2 Nvidia GeForce 6600GT with Ubuntu Nvidia driver (non-free) This configuration can play a x264 high profile 1280*720 movie perfectly if I do nothing else with it. I also noticed that with an old ath...@2.4ghz 512Mo ATI9000pro , who can play the Elephants Dream movie with no more than 50% CPU usage. Since updates at the begining of 2009, I can't clearly reproduce the bug. I can sometimes have a 1 or 2 frame drop when opening a nautilus window, but it's nothing compared to the situation in 2008. I wil retry with the Athlon, this one must not be upgraded this past months. Another feature enabled by this check box is the pause button fade effect. but the duration of this fade is about 1s. and can't be changed in the user interface. I think 1second fade is too long. You can watch more than 100 Dailymotion's videos without any crash. Install libflashsupport : Firefox will crash between 2 and 15 videos. Uninstall libflashsupport : everything is ok. This bug is reproductible with Flashplugin 10 beta from Adobe labs. If you left-click on the timeline, nothing happens, you can only drag the slider using left-click. I think a lot of user does not know the possibilities of the middle- click but try to left-click the timeline. I think we can have left-click and middle-click to do the same operation safely. IMPORTANT : If you look at the behaviour of a standard slider (like in the mouse preferences), you can left-click OR middle-click to place the slider at a specific place. I have an Intersil Corp. Prism 2.x 802.11b Adapter USB. Here's the symptoms: Hardy alpha 4, latest updates. - Boot without problem, my USB mouse and mass storage work well. - plug my usb wifi card, nothin is detected. - lsusb freeze the terminal - other USB devices don't work. If I un-plug my wifi card, my USB ports are unusable. News: after a reboot, lsusb command works fine, and I can use my mouse and my usb-mass storage. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome If a pop up (or another app window) appear when you are dragging another window border (like resizing window or resizing a column) the new window take the focus but the cursor still keep the "double-arrow" mode. So you cant do anything with the mouse. The only way to recover is to close the new window with keyboard shortcut, retrieve the origin window, finish dragging, then the cursor return to the normal "arrow" state. Same problem for me. displayconfig-gtk is unable to apply the resolutions I want. I spend 2 hours last night and never get a result with this tool.
