[Bug 874822] [NEW] package linux-image-3.0.0-12-generic 3.0.0-12.20 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2
Public bug reported: I had tried to get the upgrade by using the update manager, that failed with several errors. After reboot I could only get to a colored screen. I then went to my11.04 disk and put it in try it. Just as soon as I got the main screen a window popped up offering 11.10 I decided to go with it and this error is from that. It was not among the errors I got the first time I tried the upgrade method. [Bug 369472] Re: Jockey common crashes when trying to download restricted ATI driver
Apparently you can not edit the report so here is what I did. I went back and decided to try to run the Hardware Driver program again. This time it ran and removed a driver, sorry it did it so fast that I did not catch which one, it then installed the right driver. This did not activate the ati/amd driver though. I decided to click on activate again and see what would happen it reinstalled the driver and now all works. -- Jockey common crashes when trying to download restricted ATI driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369472 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 369472] Re: Jockey common crashes when trying to download restricted ATI driver
This happened to me also. I had it working just fine the first go around. The second time I had to redo my setup, screwing around and got to deep to fix, and I decided to do the midiubuntu Mutimedia setup before adding anything. After doing the multimedia setup I then tried to do the amd/ati driver but go the: Sorry, the jockey backend crashed. Please file a bug at: ubuntu-bug jockey-common. I am not sure it was the multimedia setup since I did also update. I will try to redo, yup, the setup again with a step by step approach and see what works. Oh! I am going to check out the b43-fwcutter also. -- Jockey common crashes when trying to download restricted ATI driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369472 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
