[Bug 2058253] Re: Notebook screen the look is "matte" in KDE
Hi, I also don't know what caused it, maybe it's the resolution of the images, or the colors, details, maybe. But in Kubuntu 24.04 it is much much better, for me it is much better, in my use I felt that it is better. Vivid colors, good brightness, good contrast, this is great, good sharpness. If you can increase it even more, it would be even better hehe 😄 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2058253 Title: Notebook screen the look is "matte" in KDE To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kwin/+bug/2058253/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 2067176] Re: Boot and memory test errors in grub
Hello, when the boot fails, I get a black screen, usually when I don't press any key. Sometimes it starts without pressing any keys during boot. Regarding the esc button, the boot also worked. But following the steps I gave previously, the boot works fine. When the Lenovo logo appears on the screen, the boot is successful, when it does not appear, the screen remains frozen black. Is there a command to run in the terminal? So I'll send you whatever report you need. [Bug 2067423] [NEW] Doubt
Public bug reported: Hello, I installed the system in the minimum option, edited the partitioning to be / btrfs, 20gb swap, created the efi boot partition. I connected the internet right away, without going into live test mode. After it was installed and updated, I noticed that the program that manages drivers, the firmware updater, something like that, did not appear here. The welcome screen also did not appear. Wayland did not appear on the login screen either. Does it no longer come with the minimum installation? In Ubuntu with Gnome, x11, I started without installing it on the pc, just in live. In Kubuntu it is also with x11, but I was unable to switch to wayland. [Bug 2058253] [NEW] Notebook screen the look is "matte"
Public bug reported: Hi, feedback: In general, on the notebook screen, the look is "matte", smoke in the images, videos, games, on the desktop, etc., especially when the screen brightness increases. [Bug 1921423] [NEW] package sudo 1.8.31-1ubuntu1.2 failed to install/upgrade: o subprocesso instalado, do pacote sudo, o script post-installation retornou erro do status de saída 1
Public bug reported: The privileges of my /etc/sudoers file is 220. I don't have any idea on how it was changed, and I tried many different ways to chmod it and I didn't get to do it, even booting from another media and trying to chmod the file didn't work. It's the main reason of the many errors that started happening when updating this machine. I can't stop this machine now, and I don't want to run the risk of trying to use the installation software to try to repair it. If you have any idea on how to chmod the file, I'll be grateful. The problem is that I don't understand very well how to prepare the partition table, initially, I use to do this, as MBR: /dev/sda1 EFI 1024Mb /dev/sda2 swap 2048Mb /dev/sda3 / Then I tried: - ``` + /dev/sda1 EFI 1024Mb /dev/sda2 swap 2048Mb /dev/sda3 /boot 2048Mb /dev/sda4 / - ``` - And finally, restarted and clicked on the "Erase disk and install - Ubuntu" option, but still getting the same error: "executing grub - install /dev/sda failed". + + And finally, restarted and clicked on the "Erase disk and install Ubuntu" option, but still getting the same error: "executing grub install /dev/sda failed". I use to format the entire Solid Hard Drive with Parted Magic before installing a new system. Si nada de esto aplica, informe de este error usando la orden «ubuntu- bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core» en una terminal. If you want to investigate this yourself the log files in '/var/log/dist-upgrade' will contain details about the upgrade. Specifically, look at 'main.log' and 'apt.log' Before that it also complained about the ppa in the system, so as suggested I removed them. [Bug 1883780] Re: Ralink RT3090 [1814:3090] Subsystem [1a3b:2041]: Problems with module rt2800 and falling connection
apport information ** Description changed: With the kernel: 5.4.0.37 Gnome: 3.36 Version: 20.04 LTS Network Manager: 1.22.10 The configuration I tried in rt2800pci.conf in /etc/modprobe.d/ options rt2800pci nohwcrypt = 1 Not solved Connect for a period and then disconnect. Leaving the connection unstable. I suspect that this module is causing the machine to overheat, because if I run the modprobe -r rt2800pci, the machine will not overheat as much as when I load this module. Frequent drops in connection occur and sometimes don't even work. I WANT TO HIGHLIGHT THAT THIS ONLY OCCURS WITH UBUNTU, OTHER DISTRIBUTIONS THAT USE THIS KERNEL DO NOT OCCUR THESE CONNECTION FALLS I AM REPORTING. 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation Core Processor DRAM Controller [8086:0044] (rev 02) Subsystem: LG Electronics, Inc. [Bug 1883780] Re: Ralink RT3090 [1814:3090] Subsystem [1a3b:2041]: Problems with module rt2800 and falling connection
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected focal ** Description changed: With the kernel: 5.4.0.37 Gnome: 3.36 Version: 20.04 LTS Network Manager: 1.22.10 The configuration I tried in rt2800pci.conf in /etc/modprobe.d/ options rt2800pci nohwcrypt = 1 Not solved Connect for a period and then disconnect.
