I'm still getting this in Lucid. Using 'me menu' I set status to 'Invisible' but it displays the 'Busy' icon. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel The FUSA/whatever it is in Karmic does not appear at start-up, and has not done for the past two boots, but shows a blank space. This gives no option for shutting down other than the terminal. The network icon in the systray has also been replaced by the typing-break timer, which seems to correlate. The playback speed can't be changed dynamically using the slider but does work when set then 'play-at-speed' is pressed. Can anyone confirm that this has been fixed either by installing one of the updates today (from Karmic proposed?) or by doing gconf-editor - apps - indicator-session and setting suppress_logout_restart_shutdown to true (which turns the shutdown confirmation off)?
