[Bug 779754] Re: NM status icon sometimes not clickable

2013-07-06 Thread liminal
Restarting doesn't solve the problem anyway, so not sure why'd you
bother.

I think this issue might be related to the autoconnecting of different wifi
ssid
Is there anyway to turn this off in NM?

[Bug 779754] Re: NM status icon sometimes not clickable

2013-06-07 Thread liminal
I am seeing this bug on standard Wifi connections without any VPN

However i agree it appears to be a sub menu issue.. as I often use two adapters
simultaneously
One internal
One External

But it is not limited to VPN in anyway

2013-06-07 Thread liminal
I see this same problem every day.. it is very annoying.
Currently running 11.04 LTS but I see there no point in ungrading either.

If you want logs.. I can recreate whenever and drown you in them.

[Bug 699802] Re: error:: no video mode activated

2011-05-27 Thread liminal
I'm getting this same error message on my intel laptop

I don't want to use GFXMODE I like too see what is being outputted to
the console however I think this error causes the first part of the
output to be cut off.

It also seems related to this bug related to ubuntu grub themed
backgrounds, supposed to be fixed tho

[Bug 126425] Re: [Fixed] Intel driver (using EXA) crashes system when starting compiz

2007-08-15 Thread liminal
What I meant is that EXA isn't tested by many. Those who have report it
is slower, and there are some remaining bugs. Consider that newer intel
cards haven't been tested at all because of bugs like these. Anyways, I
suppose this is another thread of discussion. Sorry.

[Bug 126425] Re: [Fixed] Intel driver (using EXA) crashes system when starting compiz

2007-08-15 Thread liminal
I tried the attached package and it does indeed work. Seems very
important to fix this issue properly, as I've heard claims that gutsy
wants to enable 3D effects by default. That's not going to happen if
movies can't play, which won't happen until EXA is smoothed out, which
won't happen until showstopper bugs like this one are fixed. Frankly
there doesn't seem to be enough time. Maybe next release.
