My $0.02. This is a show-stopping bug. I reported that bug three and a half years ago: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/at/+bug/727514 That issue was determined to have the same cause as this one so it was marked as a duplicate. I can confirm that the workaround mentioned in comment 62 (upgrading to Sqlite3 3.8.4 from Debian testing) works for me as well. Crashing started after upgrade to 14.04. Same sqlite3 backtrace as others reported. I can sometimes process a photo or two before crashing but Digikam is essentially useless in this release. I'm now wondering if sqlite3 is also responsible for crashes in Firefox that I have been experiencing.
