[Bug 1070809] [NEW] Screen Keyboard messes up Neo-Layout

2012-10-24 Thread Lizard
Public bug reported:

The Screen Keyboard included in Ubuntu 12.04 messes up the Neo Layout.
Even the default state (no modificator pressed) looks slightly wrong. I
attached a screenshot comparing the two.

Neo features 6 different Layers, only two of them are acessible via the
screen keyboard.

lower case roman: works
upper case roman(press shift): works

programming symbols(press chaps lock): inaccessible (
[]#${^|}~*`?(+)=%-::'²³›‹¢¥‚‘)
navigation layer(press mod4): inaccessible (extra set of arrow keys, num pad,
enter, tab, …)
lower case greek(shift+scaps): inaccessible (χωαποκψζσγνβφρμϕτϱ)
upper case greek and math symbols(mod4+chaps): inaccessible
(∨∧⊥∡∥→∞↦ℂ∫∀∩ℵΩ∃∈ΠℤΨΓℕΦ⇔)

As the Layers 3-6 are inaccessible, most of my passwords would be
inaccessible.

The screen Keybord of lightDM (the login manager) works just fine, looks
like you got several different screen keyboards in Ubuntu.

This bug does not affect me, I just stumbled uppon it, when using the
screenkeyboard for arabic. But I thing you should fix it anyway.

[Bug 1051169] [NEW] Keyborad Layout Chart has missing keys on NEO2 layout

2012-09-15 Thread Lizard
Public bug reported:

I'm using the NEO2 keyboard layout, this layout contains 6 Layers. Not
all of them are displayed in the Layout Chart accessible from the unity
keyboard menu. Additionally, the Level four modificators aren't
highlighted properly.

NEO contains these layers:
Lower case Latin: included in the layout map :-)
Upper case Latin (Shift): included in the layout map :-)
Normal special characters (Chaps Lock): included in the layout map :-)
Navigation and Numpad: (Level 4 key, not properly highlighted): NOT included :-(
Lower case Greek: included in the layout map :-)
Upper case Greek, Math symbols(⊂∫∀∃∈Σℕℝ): NOT included :-(

To me it looks like a “we don't have that much space in there“ problem,
but it would be nice if it could be resolved anyway.

[Bug 1050896] [NEW] Light DM does not swich screen keybord layout

2012-09-14 Thread Lizard
Public bug reported:

My Ubuntu has two users, me and my sister. She uses the German QUERTZ
keyboard layout, while I prefer the German NEO 2.0 layout. (or call it
XVLCWK^^).

LightDM allows each of us to use the preferred layout for login (layout
is instantly switched like the background image), when I enable the
screen keyboard, the correct layout is used. This is great, as any
realistic use case is already covered :-)

However, when I now switch between the login fields, the screen keyboard
does not adapt to the changing Layout. To make this clear:

Ubuntu boots:
Login prompt, sister is highlighted, quertz ist layout, shark is background
image
enable screen keyboard:
a quertz keyboard is shown
press down key:
I am highlighted, Neo is layout, kiwi is background image, but screen keyboard
still remains on quertz layout.

Is there any chance you can revive this expired Bug? It still is not
fixed in the current LTS 12.04 of Ubuntu and it is quite anoying, as it
forces you to move your hands to the (standard) Arrow keys.

[Bug 1008198] [NEW] Update notifier has strange german translation

2012-06-03 Thread Lizard
Public bug reported:

Ignore, that „Prüfen is underlined, i misunderstood the instructions.
But still: I am supposed to click „dieses Symbol“, although there is no
Symbol i can click on. Only several menu Items. Might be nice to tell
the user, that he has to click the one at the top.

I first understood: Drück das rote Dreieck, (habe ich schon getan) und
dann auf prüfen.
