 danwood76 wrote on 2008-10-16:
This bug as it stands can be fixed perfectly with the Novell patch (I added
the patch manually and it only affects one function in qemu anyway) If you
want me to make a patch for the Ubuntu Intrepid version I have no issue in
doing that.

Is your patch available? I would like to use it.

[Bug 280045] [NEW] CTRl-Alt-Del unusuable in vmware

2008-10-08 Thread lnx
Public bug reported:

I have the latest 8.10 beta installed and want to run winxp with vmware.
To unlock the winxp screen I CTRL-Alt -Del i9s needed.
This combination is usually used to end sessions. Via
gnome-keybindings-properties I changed this to Shift+Break, so that
CTRL-Alt-Del has no other meaning in gnome-keybinding-properties.
Unfortunately this combination does not work in vmware. It did so in 8.04.

Sorry, that was misleading:
CTRL+ALT+DEL does not work in vmware. It seems, CTRL+ALT+DEL isn't passed
through to vmware.

[Bug 248705] [NEW] evolution-exchange

2008-07-15 Thread lnx
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution-exchange

I am using 8.04 and for some weeks I had been able to use evolution, even with
calendar functionality.
Since an upgrade of the exchange server in our company I cannot connect to the
exchangeserver via evolution, when the server type is set to
Microsoft-Exchange. If set to imaps, it works, but I have no access the the
global catalog and calender functions.
 evolution version is 2.22.2-0ubuntu2
Starting evolution via:
 E2K_DEBUG=5 evolution
finally gives:

Set default browser and email client in preferences as requested. Could
not duplicate bug in either Ubuntu 7:10 or Kubuntu 7:10.
Used Firefox (2.0.0.12 Ubuntu, 2.0.0.13 Kubuntu) and Thunderbird
(2.0.0.12 both systems) as preferred apps.

Hope this helps,

Thanks,
I've seen the menu item preferred apps now for the first time. Probably during
a system update somethine must have been changed there.
Problem solved.
Thanks again.

[Bug 201723] Re: global addressbook: invalid credentials

2008-03-24 Thread lnx
Other question would be are you on your company's network or off of it?
If the OWA server is available off-net it doesn't mean the catalog
server is reachable off-net.
I'm not sure, what you mean by available off-net.
I am sitting at home and have a vpn connection to my company. Only when this
connection is up I can read my email from the OWA server.

That's a big problem in Evolution in general...it can't handle that very
well. Unfortunately my company upgrade to Exchange 2K7 so I can't even
connect any longer so I don't know how much more troubleshooting I'll be
able to do.
Ugly situation:-(

Sorry for the delay, but I had no mail access during the last week.
Yes, my GAL is different from the OWA server. I had a look at Outlook and there:
Extras-addressbook-Extras-Options-Properties

The servername there I configured in Evolution and restared Evolution.
Nevertheless, the result is the same:

As account/password should not differ for mail access and global catalog
and I can send and receive email, the problem seems to be with
evolution??
