[Bug 1268049] [NEW] Mouse wheel emulation non-functional with soft buttons
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1246683 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1246683 Public bug reported: When using a Lenovo T440S, and I believe any other notebook that uses a soft buttons on a clickpad to enable left/middle/right mouse clicking, wheel emulation does not work. Wheel emulation is functional when not using a hot button, but attempting to enable it when holding down middle button does not work. [Bug 272241] Re: Kernel panics when using 8.10 on Thinkpad T61p in docking station
Just to let you know this isn't a completely isolated problem. I haven't gotten a serial console hooked up yet (any easier way to get crash dumps than this?), but I do get freezes with capslock flashing on a T61P. This happened with 8.04 also. The freeze happens overwhelmingly more often when I'm in a docking station, at work. Possibly this is related to the wireless issue, as even though I'm not using wireless, there's a lot more wireless activity in the general area than when I'm at home. I use wireless exclusively at home, but get no such issues. I'll monitor this, and post a log when I can get one. I'm also going to try with the hardware wireless switch set to off for a while and see if it's any more stable. -- Kernel panics when using 8.10 on Thinkpad T61p in docking station https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272241 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 84898] Re: After resume, video playback is order of magnitude slower than normal
Just confirming that I have the same issue on an Asus Z96J since upgrading to Feisty. Video card is an ATI mobility x1600. I use Kubuntu and KDM doesn't seem to be any slower than usual. Another symptom though is that the new Kubuntu icon execute effect also slows right down. This effect is a fairly small patch hosted at http ://kde-apps.org/content/show.php/?content=52994. -- After resume, video playback is order of magnitude slower than normal https://launchpad.net/bugs/84898 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 84717] Re: SRU: updates necessary for Kubuntu Upgrade Tool in Edgy
Overall my most successful upgrade yet, but a few sore points still: - The upgrade tool would not resolve dependencies for kubuntu-desktop until I had manually installed libqt-perl - The embedded terminal was blank until after downloading packages was finished. I could not scroll back up to previous content in the terminal. - There was one question that was asked in the terminal rather than graphically. I had to tell it that "none" of the software RAID devices were needed to boot and that I had "no" software RAID devices. I have never consciously installed or configured any software RAID. - mysqld_safe was running at 100% for the entirety of the upgrade, I don't know why, but I had no other applications or servers running that I know of. - Right at the end of the cleanup process I got a "dpkg error" popup that didn't seem to cause any real problem. 2007-03-23 12:56:28,536 ERROR cache.commit() in doPostUpgrade() failed: E:Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) - The entire application then froze with the reboot dialog up. I had to kill the app and reboot manually. -- SRU: updates necessary for Kubuntu Upgrade Tool in Edgy https://launchpad.net/bugs/84717 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 24033] Re: systemsettings should respect single/double click preferences
You're right, there is no cursor change at all. This probably gives it more of a "file manager" feel, leading to me thinking the behaviour was odd. Cheers, L. [Bug 61494] Re: Wrong desktop file entry for subversion
Confirmed in my installation also. kdesvn as packaged with Edgy will cause a crash in kded, effectively making kdesvn unusable with the distro. -- Wrong desktop file entry for subversion https://launchpad.net/bugs/61494 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 67661] smbmnt no longer installed suid root
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: smbfs Upon upgrade to Edgy the binary /usr/bin/smbmnt is no longer installed with suid root. For a normal user to be able to mount a samba share the user now has to "sudo chmod u+s /usr/bin/smbmnt". This has occurred with my upgrade from Dapper to Edgy and another user who installed from Edgy RC1 (both on Kubuntu if it matters). ** Affects: samba (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- smbmnt no longer installed suid root https://launchpad.net/bugs/67661 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
