[Bug 1299632] [NEW] Mysql-server is a dependency : please change it for suggested

2014-03-29 Thread lunarok
Public bug reported:

Hi,

The package as a link as dependency to mysql-server.
Fonctionnaly that's not true, we can have the database on an other server. The
package mysql-server must be a suggested one or recommended, but not a
dependency.

Thanks

[Bug 1032672] Re: fglrx-updates broken dependency with xorg-video-abi-12 (Quantal)

2012-09-11 Thread lunarok
@madbiologist (s-j-turner) : thanks a lot for this information, I was
not aware hdmi output is possible in 3.5 with FOSS driver. So for me,
that's a complete solving way. No need closed driver anymore, everything
is working fine.

Is there any news ?
I'm affected too, using FOSS driver will not be better, I use the proprietary
driver to get the HDMI sound transportation.

[Bug 765003] Re: Python 2.7, error with coherence

2011-04-27 Thread lunarok
I need the 2 things, playing and server. But for using the server I already
have the workaround to launch coherence with python2.6.
But for ryhthmbox I cannot do it as it's a plugin.
Amarok is a KDE application, I don't use them :) And for Banshee, first thing I
do after a fresh Ubuntu install is removing all -cil and mono- packages and all
related softwares :)
For Viridian, iya I already try it, but no real added value compared to the
flash player included in web access of Ampache.

But in Rhythmbox if I'm remember right, I didn't see my UPnP server too. That's
not normal too because it's serving audio files. And whatever rhythmbox-ampache
and rythmbox-plugins (that includes UPnP) are different packages, if I'm right
the two are using coherence framework.
Is there a way I can test and have traceback from the plugins and have a
verbose output of what happens and what is wrong ?

Oh iya, I sympathize. I know myself what time it needs
So I will wait, maybe I will try with "out of box" couple of VMs 11.04 to check
how is it (more than not working as a server, it's the not working plugin for
Ampache in Rhythmbox that can be more important with the release of 11.04
tomorrow)

[Bug 765003] Re: Python 2.7, error with coherence

2011-04-20 Thread lunarok
I don't think it's my conf file for 2 reasons :
1- I have try with different conf files (including a very minimal with just a
FSStore plugin activated, like I will give)
2-if I use exactly the same conf files put just using Python26 (under Natty) as
the interpreter, it's working (and I have try also with a Maverick under
Virtualbox and it's working too)

So for exemple, for now this conf file is working on my server but I
launch it with python2.6. My Totem on Notebook see all contents,
including Youtube and Ampache. Same for the Freebox (my ISP multimedia
box) But as soon I let the default python (2.7) no way to see content of
servers.

I attach 2 screenshots, 1st is with python2.6 you can see that Totem is listing
all contents.
Second screenshot you can see that Totem as remove the sign on side of servers,
but not contents.

I can also put coherence in verbose mode, but I don't know how to do
(when I activate basic log as the sample give on coherence website there
is nothing at screen)

[Bug 765003] [NEW] Python 2.7, error with coherence

2011-04-18 Thread lunarok
Public bug reported:

Under Natty, we are with Python 2.7 by default.
Seems it's a problem for coherence. If I launch coherence -c coherence.conf,
I'm unable to get the content under Totem.
If I use "python2.6 /usr/bin/coherence - c coherence.conf" I can have access
to the content of the directory.
I have launch Totem with console so I can get a traceback when have the
problem. But on the console for coherence, there is no traceback.

I'm not 100% sure, but maybe it's related to the fact that my rhythmbox
is not able to connect Ampache server (rhythmbox using the coherence
framework for this) I know my parameters are ok, because if for exemple
my password is wrong, Rhythmbox complains. But when all is right, I just
get nothing, no network icon at all (including doesn't see UPnP servers)

I get the same problem.
I just received a SSD Disk, so I did a fresh install of Natty Alpha 3 and get

[Bug 589888] [NEW] virt-manage must not depends on kvm and other virtualisation platform software

2010-06-04 Thread lunarok
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: virt-manager

Hi,

I'm wondering why kvm-qemu and other virtualisation software are coming
as dependencies ?

For exemple, my purpose is to install virt-manage on a laptop (that is not VT
able) to manage server with kvm and surprise to get kvm-qemu coming as a
dependency ...
As the softaware says "desktop application for manage virtualisation" so you
install it on desktop, not on servers

That's my point of view and what I can have see at customers office (and
for exemple, the VmWare client is not installed on ESX servers, and also
when installing vmware client, you don't install an ESX server)

And just for the point, animation or just time window to appear is long, the

the same issue than appears in this old bug :

I am not using compiz. I can activate or not the composition part of xfwm I
have the same problem.
Problem appears only at startup, after making tilda appears again all is fine.

[Bug 301666] Re: GDM does not depend on xfce4-session

2009-07-15 Thread lunarok
I want to add details about this problem becoming bigger with karmic.
The new gdm package 2.26 has a real dependency with gnome-session and only
gnome-session.
It means whatever you are using xubuntu it will install gnome-session
metapackage too. For now was a little strange and anoying (because going to
launch gnome-session empty by default) but tonight gnome-session is metapackage
containing all gnome packages (panel, control center, metacity ...)

I think must be removed gnome-session from dependency because it is not
you can use xfce-session as I do and all xubuntu do

2009-06-20 Thread lunarok
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 378592 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/378592

This is not a duplicate. I am in karmic, the bug that this one say to be
duplicating is solve by karmic version of py-gobject

And why working on the ubuntu desktop and not xubuntu notebook I have ?
must be a dependency missing

I try install gnome basic packages on my xubuntu : not working
I have install awn to see if his dependencies will solve my pb : no

Don't know what package can be install. For information, on cairo-dock official
project website, they have a package for debian but including a
cairo-dock-plugins one too
I will try it

2009-06-19 Thread lunarok
I want to add that I have install it under my Ubuntu 9.10 (desktop computer
under ubuntu, my laptop xubuntu) and there is no pb
I add screenshot of this ubuntu installation to see
I think some library are used maybe by cairo-dock and not installed on xubuntu,
but it's not in dependencies or recommended packages ...

[Bug 389515] Re: cairo-dock doesn't have plugins packaged

2009-06-19 Thread lunarok
Yes it's reproductible.
I have attach the screenshot showing my problem.
Package can be installed, this is ok. Cairo-dock can be launched, this is ok.
But in settings, no plugins avalaible. Look at screenshot.
So in dock I have only launchers avalaible.

[Bug 378289] Re: package mediatomb-daemon 0.12.0~svn2018-3ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1

2009-06-19 Thread lunarok
Yes I get this issue too in karmic when trying to install the karmic version
For your information, I take the .deb of jaunty (0.11) and installing them
without problem, then upgrade with synaptic to karmic version (0.12) and no
problem, this time it's ok and running as 0.12

[Bug 329240] [NEW] Gaphor using Python 2.4 instead 2.5

2009-02-13 Thread lunarok
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gaphor

Hi,

Gaphor is still using Python 2.4 under Jaunty and it's creating problem of
dependencies.
When I try to start it, there is this error :
ced...@prophet:~$ gaphor
Traceback (most recent call last):

  File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.4/gaphor/UML/diagram.py", line 12, in ?
import gobject
ImportError: No module named gobject

I have already check before, the gobject is ok with python 2.5 but not
anymore with 2.4, soluce will be to have gaphor compiled with 2.5 as it
must be of python program for next release

[Bug 311345] [NEW] python-gtk2 supports only python 2.5 in jaunty, not support of python 2.4

2008-12-25 Thread lunarok
Public bug reported:

As I already logged for python-gobecjt. In the intrepid package, support is
active only for python 2.5
I'm using gaphor and it's using python 2.4, but with the intrepid package,
cannot import the module gtk

I compare with python 2.4 and python 2.5 in command, just launching 'import
gtk' and working for 2.5, not for 2.4
I get the same issue with gobject, and coming back to intrepid package is
working

[Bug 311343] [NEW] Python-gobject 2.15 compiled for support of Python 2.5 only, 2.4 not included

2008-12-25 Thread lunarok
Public bug reported:

Using jaunty, when I want to launch gaphor (package using Python 2.4), there is
a crash for import gobecjt.
So I have check with the following process :

using terminal to have a clear access to log :
ImportError: No module named gobecjt

I launch python 2.4 :
Python 2.4.6 (#2, Dec 20 2008, 15:54:56)
[GCC 4.3.3 20081217 (prerelease)] on linux2
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import gobject
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "", line 1, in ?
ImportError: No module named gobject

And compared with python 2.5 :
Python 2.5.3 (r253:67855, Dec 21 2008, 10:44:28)
[GCC 4.3.3 20081217 (prerelease)] on linux2
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import gobject
>>>

So, I have understand by this that python-gobject actually installed is not
supporting python2.4.
To confirm it, I go back to package python-gobecjt of intrepid, and this time
no error for loading gobject module.

That's for gobecjt. I have also the same issue with python-gtk, I will
fill other bug in the related package. (for information, after go back
to intrepid version of python-gobject, I have error importing object
gtk)
