Btw. the same thing happens if the laptop is in suspend, both if suspend is triggered manually or automatically if its running on battery power. The only difference: In suspend the power LED is slowly blinking. Addendum: After a second try, the fan was off and the few lines of output did not appear. Screen is completely blank and unlit. The fan is running on low speed, the LEDs "FnLk" and "Muted Mic" stay on (it's a Lenovo T460s). Pressing ESC doesn't seem to change anything and doesn't display log messages.
