@rene
sorry for my last post : I found a solution ...
I had created another eth0 profil, with manual connection (ip, gateway, mask
and dns) ... and I use this one when i need to connect to my vpn with a manual
"sudo openvpn --config example.conf".
and it works .. I can connect to my openvpn provider again (great ! it's
hidden, but I'm happy again) ...

It was a lot lot lot easier in jaunty ;-)

[Bug 70043] With Edgy, SciTE does'nt run properly a process

2006-11-03 Thread manatlan
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: scite

With edgy, Scite can't stop the running process by using
"tools > stop executing" or the keyboard shorcut CTRL+BREAK.
It does nothing.

To reproduce it, just edit a new python file :
--
while 1 : pass
---
run it ... and try to stop it with scite : it's now impossible
(it worked well in dapper)

** Affects: scite (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: Unconfirmed

[Bug 41056] Re: [Bug 41056] Re: qiv crash on dapper

2006-09-22 Thread manatlan
hi matt

Interesting; qiv had been working fine for me for ages, on warty, hoary,
> breezy, dapper and edgy,

i use qiv since the beginning, and it's started to fail with my fresh dapper
upgrade. (one week before the final release)

but recently stopped working with the same

now, i still have the gdk-error, but i'm pretty sure it made a "seg fault"
in the past (because it was a copy/paste of the error)
Sorry for this response, i can't reproduce the segfault ... now i still have
the gdk-error, but i use the workaround to bypass the trouble ...
sorry i can't help more
