If you create windows live account from their online accounts then empathy is not connected to the chat. While if you create windows live account from empathy, then the windows live is normally connected in chat. [Bug 1168627] [NEW] low resolution in lubuntu with sis 1039:6330
Public bug reported: I have an old acer aspire 3000 with sis 1039:6330. So, I configured the file xorg.conf with command "sudo Xorg -configure" and after that I copied the new xorg.conf file into /etc/X11. So now I can boot in lubuntu but I have low resolution 640x480. The only way to have the right resolution for my laptop is when I boot into recovery mode and after that I choose resume normal boot from recovery mode. Then the resolution is right 1024x768. It is very strange. Sorry for my english. I just resolve this problem. Here and 2 days after I did a clean install from the start ubuntu 11.04 amd64, do not start at all ubuntu only in low graphic mode. I do all the upgrades and the problem remains. If I install the proprietary driver of my graphics card then start normally but the computer is crawling. With ubuntu 10.10 and 10.04 I had no problem. I am very disappointed with this problem. I will probably go back to ubuntu 10.04 or 10.10 if not corrected this problem. starts as if I had to disable shut down, not suspend. In ubuntu 10.10
functioned normally without problem. From what I've been looking at
forums I've found that the same problem and have other sony vaio
laptops. Someone mentioned that upgrading the bios corrected the
problem. I'll check it. It is strange, however, because the 10.10
operating normally ...
Also another problem is that I do not recognize the card reader in no
linux version I've tried ... But this is not a big problem for me
because they do not use it ... But it is still a problem.

Hi again... I installed lucid x86 beta 1 and have rectified anything so far. For the ethernet needs backport the driver from kernel 2.6.33. sorry to insist but I am disappointed with my new notebook sony vaio vpceb1j1e/wi because they supported the specific devices. With ubuntu lucid alpha 3 graphics card works without any problems. With kernel 2.6.33 works without problems and the card is denied.
