@Joseph Salisbury: I tested the mainline kernel (I hope what I found is the right one: 3.1.0-999-generic, by installing the following packages: linux-headers-3.1.0-999_3.1.0-999.201110200416_all.deb linux-headers-3.1.0-999-generic_3.1.0-999.201110200416_amd64.deb linux-image-3.1.0-999-generic_3.1.0-999.201110200416_amd64.deb The laptop now resume itself after suspend, so this version of the kernel works for me. I edited as well the tags for this bug as you kindly instructed. The issue remain to be rezolved in 3.0.0-12-generic.
