But still this bug is present and people which care about control volumes with keyboard then will probably care also to try resolving this problem. I find useless keeping replying that removing that package fix the issue. -- xfce4-volumed takes 100% cpu when system is idle for some time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/417778 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 417778] Re: xfce4-volumed takes 100% cpu when system is idle for some time
Description: Volume management daemon for Xfce 4 Xfce4-volumed is responsible for making the volume up/down and mute keys of the keyboard work automatically, and uses the Xfce 4 mixer's defined card and track for chosing which track to act on. It also provides volume change / mute toggle notifications if the notification server used supports x-canonical-icon-only and x-canonical-synchronous notifications. Yes, it is xfce4-volumed process to eat the 100% of cpu sometimes, but removing it doesn't seems a solution of the bug. -- xfce4-volumed takes 100% cpu when system is idle for some time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/417778 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I can confirm this very annoying bug on latest xubuntu. I didn't find a regular pattern, but I noticed it happens after some suspend/resume cycles. -- xfce4-volumed takes 100% cpu when system is idle for some time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/417778 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 462959] [NEW] "continue" and "confirm" buttons in some dialogs not working
Public bug reported: Body: As in subject, I am running the latest rc of xubuntu karmic: in some dialogs (e.g. in updating software, change perspective and import into workspace to name some) the buttons "OK" or "Next" are clickable but they seems to get only the hold stage of the button and not the "release hover" final stage which should notify the proper controller that the action "click on button" succeded. To get the proper behaviour I need to navigatr with tab to interested button and then issue an Enter. With previous distro release there were no problem. The problem persists with either openjdk and sun jdk. I think that the bug is much probably due to some change in some graphical library (api) - gtk ? I am using latest eclipse downloaded from eclipse.org This bug could be linked also to this one https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eclipse/+bug/460905 ,even tough the behaviour is slightly different. affects eclipse affects ubuntu/eclipse -- Marco Vittorini Orgeas ** Affects: eclipse Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: eclipse (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- "continue" and "confirm" buttons in some dialogs not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/462959 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
