[Bug 495127] Re: Shutdown/restart dialogs make it unclear whether people should wait
Why not just skip that dialog at all (unless triggered automatically)? Even Windows7 changed their shutdown button to just shutdown instantly. The first time, it's unusual, since you are used to annoying "Do you really..." questions by Microsoft, but after the first time, you just love it, and it's actually one of the most remarkable features of Windows7 which I remember. So now, even Microsoft stops showing useless "Do you really want to ..." dialogs, but we (Linux world) insist on having them? -- Shutdown/restart dialogs make it unclear whether people should wait https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/495127 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 319378] Re: [ath9k] Kernel panic in 2.6.27-11
With default ubuntu 9.04 I still had hangs, when upgrading to backport- modules (which basically is compat-wireless from end of March) they went away. Sidenote: I still had random re-/disconnects though with my card, which I just could not accept anymore, as it drove me nuts ;) (no offense, I am not paying for Ubuntu/Linux, and all devs really do great things fixing the bugs!), so i just bought another draft-n usb stick (some with a RaLink chip, rt2870sta driver), that one works great, even with N speeds which somehow i could not get with my atheros PCI card. -- [ath9k] Kernel panic in 2.6.27-11 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/319378 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
