[Bug 649809] Re: the session settings manager can try starting before the login screen one exits
I'm on natty too, with the latest updates and the problem still exists. It happens even when I choose 'Ubuntu Classic' or 'Ubuntu (Safe Mode)' on login (see screenshot in attachment). Usually, at first the right dark theme is shown but after a few seconds it falls back to the ugly grey one. ** Attachment added: "gnome-theme-in-Classic.jpg" https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/649809/+attachment/2000116/+files/gnome-theme-in-Classic.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/649809 Title: the session settings manager can try starting before the login screen one exits -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 649809] Re: the session settings manager can try starting before the login screen one exits
It's not fixed in gnome-settings-daemon - 2.32.1-0ubuntu13. Also, the "echo sleep 5 > /etc/X11/Xsession.d/50slowdownthere" didn't work for me either. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/649809 Title: the session settings manager can try starting before the login screen one exits -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 747343] Re: [launcher] does not autohide
i added the unity-2d daily build repo and updated. here a screenshot. the window in the back is fullscreen, the terminal in the front moved as far to the left until snapped in at the (hidden) screen edge. also, the ugly gnome windows-bug has already been filed seperately and i'm running this ubuntu on a VMware Fusion virtual machine. ** Attachment added: "screenshot.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-2d/+bug/747343/+attachment/1983728/+files/screenshot.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/747343 Title: [launcher] does not autohide -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 747343] [NEW] unity-2d-fallback doesn't hide panel
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: software-center when logging in to ubuntu, selecting 'ubuntu', it falls back to unity-2d (checked through ps aux). when in that fallback, the launcher/panel on the left doesn't slide out (hide), neither when a window is in fullscreen nor when pushed to the panel). when selecting 'unity-2d' in the login dialog, the hiding works fine. ** Affects: software-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/747343 Title: unity-2d-fallback doesn't hide panel -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
