tried installing the proprietary ati driver from "hardware driver" menu then 
this crash showed up. 
i'm using the trim supporting 2.6.33-3 amd64 kernel (maybe i've done something 
wrong at their installation, i'm a total newb, so maybe that's the source of 
the problem. though i doubt it)

rightclicking a dir in tree mode when not seeing top parent folder puts view to 
top, so that you can't figure out to what folder the context menu belongs to. i 
expexted just an uppopping context menu with no "scrolling" upwarts.
