^_Pepe_^, I am afraid this package can't be reinstalled. E: linux-backports-modules-2.6.31-16-generic: subprocess installed post- removal script returned error exit status 1 I'd be happy to help, but I don't know what to do. I have visited the forums and someone suggested removing entries related to that package from /var/lib/dpkg/status. If I do that the package is not listed as installed in synaptic but as soon as I install something else it creeps back in, along with the error message I just posted. -- ath5k: unsupported jumbo https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/375903 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 442312] Re: Transmission triggers anti-SYN-Flood countermeasures and Wi-Fi connection is killed often
Hi Charles, Sorry to take so long, I completely forgot about this. I am now using Karmic and I am not getting repeated messages about SYN floods. I only found one in my kern.log from 2 days ago (november 8th). The connection is much more stable but I still get disconnected sometimes. [Bug 161124] Re: network manager assumes wrong key after wireless is disconnected
Alexander, In the current state I frequently waste time leaving the computer on to download torrent as when the connection oscillates the pc will not automatically reconnect. I understand the compromise, but a better solution would be to allow users to select how to have their system behave. I would much rather delete an old key from a config file and insert a new one when needed instead of compromising my ability to download overnight. So maybe this feature can be added to a wishlist?
