[Bug 310199] Re: [oneiric] canberra-gtk-play --id=desktop-login Failed to play sound: File or data not found

2011-11-30 Thread miky91
I found the problem: Using dcoonf-editor if you go in
/org/gnome/desktop/sound and set in keys event-sounds and theme-name
with the same values but set as user defined, not as default value, then
you run the command /usr/bin/canberra-gtk-play --id=desktop-login
--description=GNOME Login from the terminal you can see the error, but
if you reset this two options with the default values (i.e. the same
values, but now are the Default values) running the same command the
problem doesn't exists

[Bug 888526] Re: Update to 3.2.2 upstream release

2011-11-24 Thread miky91
In ubuntu oneiric seem that when you change the volume with media keys
the sound event that let you hear the sound volume (I don't know how is
it called in English) isn't reproduced with g-s-d = 3.2.2-0ubuntu1...
downgrading to previous versions solves the problem... I also don't hear
the login sound, but I'm not sure if this problem is related to g-s-d in
general

But wouldn't be better to have this patch applied in the official Ubuntu

I'm using Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04 with Blender 2.48a.

I tryed the official version from the official site of the program and
it works nicely, so the problem is linked to the Ubuntu package

Re: [Bug 338291] Re: cannot set lpd printer with system-config-printer

2009-03-12 Thread miky91
For me to have system-config-printer working you only need to have the
latest ubuntu version (actually the 1.1.3+git20090218-0ubuntu7 version,
check it using synaptic in system, administration). After you have run the
program in LPD/LPR Host or Printer you have to specify in the host box the
host of the printserver (for example 192.168.1.10) then click the examine
button. After a few seconds the foward button became enabled, so you can
also insert the printer name in the box below and then click the foward
button.

For me it works in this way without applying any patch

2009/3/12 Tim Waugh twa...@redhat.com

That doesn't sound like 1.1.x. To avoid any confusion, have you tried
4938e0fdc4a23e6a53bb8326f8d0e3bdf0430a96, which is the current 1.1.x
 HEAD?

The problem already exist. In fact if you do something before the steps
I described in my last comment then also if you do the right things the
foward button isn't enabled. Till, you have an HP printer, maybe you
should have to use the HP Printer (HPLIP) section, did you try to use
that system? About the freeze also my system-config-printer freeze for
some second, maybe you should wait a little more.

[Bug 338291] [NEW] cannot set lpd printer with system-config-printer

2009-03-05 Thread miky91
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: system-config-printer

Im using Ubuntu Jaunty.

I have a printer shared with some computers over ethernet using a d-link
printserver.

To install it on my computer I run system-config-printer, then new -
printer, after this i expand the Network Printer tree and click on
LPD/LPR Host or printer. In the right side in host box i write the ip
of the printserver (192.168.1.240) and in the other box i write the name
of the printer I set in the printserver (LASER). Now I should click
foward button but... i cannot because the Foward button isn't enabled!
Did I make a mistake? If I have to do in other way in my opinion it
should be explained better.

P.S. the version of system-config-printer is 1.1.3+git20090218-0ubuntu4

I have a problem using both ubuntu intrepid and jaunty, and I noticed this

My problem consist in the hanging of any program which try to use the

nothing.

Unfortunately I don't know which driver uses my webcam, but if somebody

Re: [Bug 274392] Re: gnome-language-selector doesn't install missing language pack

2008-10-07 Thread miky91
The missing packages are language-pack-kde-{en|it} and
language-pack-kde-{en|it}-base and I'm sure they are not installed (i run
the commands you suggested me in the previous message).

I know that it doesn't do anything because it should appear the synaptic's
window showing you it is downloading and installing the packages, but after
i type the correct password, it doesn't do anything for some seconds (3-4
sec.) and then appears the checking available language support window,
instead of the synaptic's one. After this the Language support window is
already opened and the missing packages aren't installed because if I close
the program and i run it again it shows me the same missing packages.

2008/10/7 Arne Goetje [EMAIL PROTECTED]

How do you know that it doesn't do anything? Do you get this message
 every time you start language-selector?

What should happen is: install the language-pack-{gnome|kde}-$lang
paackages if they are missing, depending on if you have Gnome or KDE or
 both applications installed.

You can check if those packages are installed with:
 dpkg -l language-pack-gnome-it
 dpkg -l language-pack-kde-it

Yes, I'm sure it was connected when i tried to install the packages.

folders (so if nautilus shows also hidden files appears the scrollar).
Ok, now with show hidden files disabled go in the same directory with two
differet tabs, then enable show hidden files. You see that in the tab you are
seeing appear the scrollbar to let you see all the files, but in the other tab
the scrollbar doesn't appear when it should.

I hope to be useful for you
